As an ardent follower of America’s Got Talent and a supporter of young talent like Emily Gold, I am left in deep sorrow and disbelief by her untimely demise. Her vivacity, grace, and unparalleled passion for dance were not just spectacles to behold, but a testament to the power of youthful dreams.
17-year-old Emily Gold, a gifted student from Los Osos High School who excelled in dance, cheerleading, and even made it to America’s Got Talent, tragically passed away on September 13, 2024.
As a committed follower, I’m sharing this news: At 11:52 p.m., I learned that Gold took his own life. In response to a report about someone walking in the road, officers from the California Highway Patrol’s Rancho Cucamonga area were dispatched.
Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a 17-year-old girl who had been hit by a vehicle in the carpool lane of eastbound 210. Regrettably, she passed away due to her injuries right there on the spot.
Following the announcement of her passing, Gold’s dear ones established a GoFundMe campaign to assist her family financially. At this point in the story, not much more information is available. However, the police have requested that anyone who saw the incident or has further details gets in touch with Officer S. Gonzalez, who is handling the investigation.
In August, the teenager captivated the nation with her dancing skills, performing alongside the Los Osos High School dance team on America’s Got Talent. They managed to advance past the audition round and even reached the quarterfinals of the show, but ultimately were voted off.
Even though they were dismissed, Judge Simon Cowell applauded the team’s impressive display with a standing ovation.
Gold’s sudden passing sparked a flurry of queries and an abundance of sympathy and condolences from admirers, colleagues in the performing arts, and family members. This was also reflected in an Instagram post made by the Los Osos High School Varsity Dance Team, offering their official statement.
In other news, the grand final acts for America’s Got Talent Season 19 will take place on NBC at 8 p.m. Eastern Time/Pacific Time on September 17th.
