Today, we learned about the heartbreaking passing of Devin Lee Harjes, a talented actor widely admired for his performances. As per a report by The Hollywood Reporter, he was 41 years old at the time of his death. Notably, he played prominent roles in shows such as Manifest and Boardwalk Empire.
Reports say that the actor breathed his final breath at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City. It was reported by the publication that Harjes sadly passed away on Tuesday due to an illness, following a cancer diagnosis in February, according to the media outlet.
Devin Lee Harjes’ early life
It’s said that Harjes was born in Lubbock, Texas, back in 1983. As he matured surrounded by animals, his affection for them grew alongside his passion for acting.
According to the report, Harjes furthered his acting aspirations by attending college and relocating to New York City. There, he gained experience by appearing in student films, off-Broadway productions, and independent films.
Following his passing, it’s been reported that the actor leaves behind his parents, Rosanne and Randy Harjes, his sister Trish Harjes (married to Justin Jelley), along with their children, who are his nieces and nephews. His ex-wife, Shiva Shobhita, also survives him, as does his beloved cat, Maude.

Harjes, who recently passed away, boasted a remarkable rise to fame. Besides gracing the screens of Boardwalk Empire, Daredevil, and Manifest, he was also featured in Gotham, The Crimson Woodland, and Sun-Kissed Youth.
Moreover, the actor showcased his acting talents on various productions including Orange is the New Black, FBI, Blue Bloods, When the Shadow Falls, Surprise Surprise, Mr. Conovy, Rebel in the Rye, and Elementary as well.
