Later on, Parton expressed about her husband’s passing through her Instagram account. In a heartfelt post, she wrote, “Carl and I enjoyed countless beautiful years together.” She also added, “No words can truly express the love we shared for more than six decades. Thank you for your thoughts and condolences.

In her remarks, the artist went on to say, “A private funeral service will take place for him, with only close relatives present. His sisters Sandra and Donnie are the ones who remain after him. During this challenging period, the family kindly requests seclusion.

For the majority of his life, Dean functioned as a businessman, running an asphalt-laying company based in Nashville. Born to Virginia Bates Dean and Edgar Henry Dean in 1942, he crossed paths with Parton outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat when she was 18 years old.

The musician moved to Nashville, and two years later, the couple got married in Georgia. 

Previously discussing her long-term marriage with the late Carl Dean, the singer of “Jolene” shared with People Magazine that they’ve been together for 56 years. They were officially married for 54 years in May this year. Even after all these years, they still find special moments, especially when the first yellow daffodils bloom in the springtime.

She added, “Regardless of any remaining snow, my husband consistently presents me with a bouquet and often writes a sweet poem too. To me, these gestures are beyond value.

When our 82-year-old businessman passed away, it was found that his personal wealth amounted to $20 million, according to Marca’s reports. Conversely, they also reported that his wife has a staggering net worth of $650 million.
