32-year-old Sam Bankman-Fried was found guilty in November 2023 of committing fraud and conspiring against investors, leading to the downfall of his cryptocurrency exchange, FTX. Previously a prominent figure in the crypto world, he was sentenced to 25 years following an order in March 2024 that required him to forfeit an astounding $11 billion. Reportedly, Michael Bankman-Fried is facing conviction on seven charges related to conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering.
