His initial credit as a stunt performer was on Wild Boys, followed by roles in movies like The Great Gatsby, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Mad Max: Fury Road, Suicide Squad, and others. In terms of acting, he’s been featured in Brawl, Agent’s Provocateur, Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman, Mad Max, and shared screen time with Keough in the 2014 film Spark and Light. His next role will be in the upcoming indie horror film The Dead Thing.

Instead of a grand announcement, Smith-Petersen subtly unveiled their engagement by posting a snapshot of Keough adorning a sparkling diamond ring on Facebook, accompanied by the intriguing caption: “And this is how it went down.” Their intimate wedding took place in the serene landscapes of Nepal, and then, a larger celebration graced us in Napa Valley, California on February 4, 2015.
