As I delve into the captivating life of Stuntman Smith-Petersen, I am simply astounded by the whirlwind romance he shared with his stunning wife, Meadow Keough. Their love story, reminiscent of a fairy tale, is a testament to the power of instinct and destiny.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m delighted to share that Riley Keough, known for her exceptional talent and as the granddaughter of the iconic Elvis Presley through his daughter Lisa Marie Presley, has been happily married since 2015. My journey with Ben Smith-Petersen, an accomplished Australian stuntman, began in 2012 during our work on Mad Max: Fury Road. However, it wasn’t until the following year, during reshoots in his home country, that our friendship blossomed into something more romantic.

In a Vogue Australia essay penned in 2022, Keough referred to her husband as an exceptional individual. She characterized him as composed, faithful, robust yet tender, and further identified him as her cherished friend. The following year, during his wife’s mother’s memorial service, Smith-Petersen disclosed that the couple had become parents to a little girl.

Below is everything to know about Riley Keough’s husband, Ben Smith-Petersen.

In 2015, both Keough and Smith-Petersen featured in Mad Max: Fury Road. Keough played Capable, one of Immortan Joe’s wives in the movie, while Smith-Petersen took on the role of the Doof Warrior, who was Immortan Joe’s blind musician. It is worth noting that these two actors did not know each other prior to the film. They got acquainted during the reshoots that took place in Australia.

During the debut of her series on February 23, 2023, in Los Angeles, Keough disclosed Smith-Petersen’s surprise appearance. She shared with ET that the producers found it amusing to include him in that particular scene.

In March 2023, during an appearance on The Late Night Show with Seth Meyers, the actress disclosed that her husband had unexpectedly participated in a sex scene with her. Initially, the producers believed it would be less uncomfortable if it was her husband in the scene, but it didn’t turn out as planned. Throughout the filming of the sequence, they both couldn’t stop laughing.

He fell in love with Keough in Australia

In her previously mentioned article for Vogue Australia, Keough shared insights into the beginning of her relationship with Smith-Petersen. She disclosed that they first crossed paths in Australia in 2013, and she found Ben attractive. Later on, she invited the stuntman to a friend’s house in Sydney, where they enjoyed drinks, danced, and that evening he taught Keough salsa.

Back in 2016, Keough shared with USA Today that she saw herself building a future with Smith-Petersen, even planning for children, following only two weeks of dating.

He married Keough in 2015

2014 was the year when I, an overjoyed admirer, learned about the beautiful union of the couple. Instead of a grand announcement, Smith-Petersen subtly unveiled their engagement by posting a snapshot of Keough adorning a sparkling diamond ring on Facebook, accompanied by the intriguing caption: “And this is how it went down.” Their intimate wedding took place in the serene landscapes of Nepal, and then, a larger celebration graced us in Napa Valley, California on February 4, 2015.

Back in 2015, during my interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, I revealed a profound insight about my marriage. I didn’t foresee the future, but I was certain about some things, one of them being my union with my husband. As I put it to him, “I don’t predict the future, but I just know that certain events will unfold.” On our second date, as he stepped out from the gas station, a feeling washed over me, a conviction that said, “I’m going to marry him and start a family with him.” Interestingly enough, at that moment in time, we hadn’t even expressed our love for each other yet.

He and Keough have matching tattoos

Keough shared in her Vogue Australia piece that they both acquired playful matching tattoos after spending only their third day together. Conversely, Smith-Petersen boasts a tattoo dedicated to his beloved spouse.

Last September, the stuntman posted a photo on his Instagram that displayed “Riley” as a tattoo on his abdomen.

In April 2021, he successfully attained his black belt, a feat that was celebrated by Keough on Instagram. She mentioned how her husband had long aspired to earn his black belt before reaching the age of 30, and expressed her immense pride in him for achieving this goal.

He and Keough are parents to a daughter

During a memorial service for Lisa Marie Presley, Smith-Petersen publicly acknowledged that he and Keough had welcomed a baby girl together. While reading a heartfelt message, he expressed his hope to love their daughter as Lisa Marie loved him, and as she loved his siblings. He also shared that his mother-in-law was the source of his strength, empathy, courage, humor, manners, temper, wildness, tenacity – sentiments echoed by his wife.

In a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair, Keough shared that her newborn’s name is Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen. She explained that the baby was born through surrogacy due to her own health issues, which she felt made this option the most suitable choice.

He and Keough have walked many red carpets together

For quite some time, this pair has made numerous high-profile events shine with their presence. Just recently, they were snapped on the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet, as Keough was competing for the Best Female Performance in a Limited Series award for her work in Daisy Jones & The Six.
