1. Marina Pearl LeBlanc was born in 2004 

About five months before the last episode of “Friends” was broadcasted, Marina Pearl LeBlanc was born to Matt and McKnight. Despite their separation in 2006, they remained committed to co-parenting and adjusted Matt’s filming plans to maximize time with their daughter, who grew up in Santa Barbara, California.

In May 2003, Matt got married to Melissa McKnight, a model hailing from Britain and an American single mother with two kids. They met for the first time in 1997 through a mutual friend of theirs, Kelly Phillips (wife of actor Lou Diamond Phillips. The friendship blossomed into an engagement for Melissa by the end of 1998.

In addition, Matt developed a relationship with Melissa’s children Tyler and Jacquelyn from her previous marriage to Tyler. He grew particularly close to them during their time together and made an effort to maintain that bond even after their separation. Tyler is a sound engineer, and Jacquelyn earned her degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

During this challenging phase, the actor referred to it as a “dark period” in his life. He temporarily stepped away from filming both “Friends” and “Joey” to provide care and support for his daughter.

He shared with the media that for an extended period of time, he hardly went outside his home and felt completely drained. Instead of inquiring about new opportunities with their agents like most actors do, he requested to be removed from their contact list for some years.

3.  Marina Pearl LeBlanc loves horses and is a fan of singer Rihanna 

At the age of 20, Marina leads a more secluded existence now. However, her father shared in a previous interview with People that she was a gifted performer, specifically as a singer. He expressed, “She has an enchanting voice. Today is the day of her audition for her school’s talent show. I assisted her in preparing a new pop song, which I am yet unfamiliar with.”

Additionally, she has a fondness for horses and the famous singer Rihanna. Having been raised near horses, it’s only natural given that Matt’s family frequently visited their ranch in Santa Barbara during the weekends, as shared in an interview with The Sunday Times.

Marina might pursue a similar professional path as her father in the future, but with a potential focus on music instead.

4. Marina Pearl LeBlanc once got a kiss from Prince Harry

At a Bruce Springsteen concert in London, Marina and her sister Jacqueline had the opportunity to meet Prince Harry backstage with their father. Excitedly, Prince Harry welcomed Pearl Le Blanc into his presence.

Later in the evening, Harry surprised my daughter and stepdaughter with a sweet goodnight kiss on each cheek. They were taken aback by the gesture.

Marina continues to be deeply fond of her father’s most iconic acting performance in Friends. As shared with Express U.K. in 2018, Matt revealed that they have developed a special connection through watching repeat episodes of the show. Initially, Marina referred to it as “The Joey Tribbiani Show.”

He mentioned that she is deeply engaged with it and frequently inquires about it. She frequently bombards him with questions regarding the program. Despite being born during the final seasons of “Friends,” Marina managed to explore her father’s set for one of his other shows.

“She appeared during the filming of our pilot, which was her first experience seeing me at work. I was acting on Joey when she was born, and she hasn’t been allowed to watch the episodes – not just yet, that is. It’s a bit inappropriate for her.”
