Jim Moret, originally known as James William Moret, serves as the main correspondent for the highly respected news program Inside Edition, anchored by Deborah Norville and Mary Calvi. For more than two decades, this journalist has reported on entertainment stories as well as hard-hitting news pieces. At present, he is a frequent guest commentator, legal expert, and temporary host on CNN, HLN, Fox News Channel, Court TV, and MSNBC.
Jim Moret, who is the son of James Darren and Gloria Terlitsky (his first wife), was born on the 3rd of December, 1956. Born and raised in California, he graduated with a degree in Communication Studies from UCLA and also holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Southwestern Law School.
Through his subsequent qualifications, Moret became eligible to handle high-profile California criminal cases such as the Night Stalker trial, the Billionaire Boys Club murder trial, the O.J. Simpson, who was accused of killing his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. Known as “The Trial of the Century,” this trial concluded with Simpson’s acquittal in 1995.
Following his departure from CNN, Moret went on to host various special programs for ABC. Among these was co-hosting the pre-show for the Academy Awards on that network. Some other notable accomplishments of Moret’s include serving as an author, visiting professor at his former university, and being a member of the California Bar. Moret has been married to Keri Stone Moret since 1982, and they have three children together.
According to a statement made by Jim Moret to THR, James Darren tragically passed away in his sleep at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a hospitalization due to heart complications. Apart from him, Darren is mourned by his wife, Evy; his sons Christian and Anthony; and his grandchildren Amanda, Carly, Matthew, Natalie, and Nicholas.
In 1958, following his split from Terlitsky, the mother of another woman named Moret, the actor wed Evy, a past Miss Denmark. They stayed together until his passing on Monday.
