As per the lawsuit, her companion followed suit, but Weinstein is said to have forcefully entered and demanded they remove their clothes and bathe with him.
McKinney stated they found themselves in a tight spot, with a sense of dread that he might retaliate if they declined his sexual advances, according to the complaint. The claim also alleges that Weinstein instructed the two women to participate in sexual acts in the bathtub. Subsequently, it is said that he forcefully moved them to the bed and reportedly sexually assaulted both of them.
Following the event, McKinney mentioned that Weinstein quickly departed from the hotel room. Additionally, she noted that his aide contacted later on. Upon informing the aide about the incident, McKinney was instructed to vacate the hotel room promptly rather than being offered assistance.
According to McKinney, the alleged incident caused lasting emotional distress. The report outlines the significant impact it had on her psychological well-being, encompassing feelings such as depression, anxiety, resentment, self-doubt, thoughts of suicide, body image concerns, and a general sense of despair.
In the year 2024, Harvey Weinstein, who was previously found guilty of rape charges in 2020, had his conviction overturned due to issues with the trial process. As a result, he is currently detained at Rikers Island, having been convicted on similar charges in California in the year 2022.
