Who Does Billie Piper Play in WEDNESDAY Season 2?

As a die-hard film fan, I’m thrilled about the cinematic year of 2025, particularly because it seems Billie Piper is taking center stage! This British pop sensation turned cultural icon captured our hearts as Rose Tyler, the first companion of the modern Doctor Who era, who has reappeared in various forms throughout the years. Her presence was felt even after the Fifteenth Doctor’s regeneration. However, we’re left guessing about Billie Piper’s role in the upcoming season of Doctor Who. Yet, there’s a silver lining-she’s gracing our screens as a character at Nevermore Academy! If you’ve been following Wednesday season two closely, you’ll find out who Billie Piper is portraying fairly early on.

In the first episode of season two on ‘Wednesday’, our beloved character from the Addams family is letting off some tension as she vigorously plays her cello in a dimly lit music room. The character played by Billie Piper, Isadora Capri, enters and presents herself as the new head of music at Nevermore. Wednesday recognizes Capri as a renowned child prodigy who published her first classical album at just ten years old. Capri mentions that she arrived at Nevermore after learning about the events of the previous season. She then starts to probe Wednesday, commenting that her performance is only intriguing because it’s fueled by suffering. She advises her to immerse herself in the music and stop attempting to control it. Naturally, Wednesday dismisses this valuable suggestion.

In the initial four episodes, Billie Piper’s character Isadora Capri makes a few appearances. To our pleasure, we get to listen to her singing, a fact that might be unknown or forgotten by many. Before joining the TARDIS, she was essentially the British equivalent of Britney Spears. She performs the school spirit song at the Founder’s Pyre and another melody later in episode 3 at Camp Jericho.

As a movie enthusiast, it’s a bit disappointing that Capri didn’t have a more significant part in Wednesday’s antics, similar to Christina Ricci’s character, Thornhill. While Wednesday did manage to hitch a ride in Capri’s trunk for the sneaky ascent into the asylum during episode 4, she was mainly focused on her music lessons and keeping a low profile.

She’s an intriguing and somewhat peculiar woman who could make for an entertaining antagonist. However, there’s a possibility that the second part of the series might bring her closer to Wednesday, potentially unveiling a sinister side of her as well. Regardless, it’s enjoyable to witness Billie Piper in yet another quirky and intellectual setting.
