The comedian met his future wife, Viveca Paulin, at an acting class back in 1995. They eventually got married in the year 2000. Their firstborn child, Magnus, was born on March 7, 2004.

Years ago, my spouse was born in the beautiful land of Sweden. My partner and I cherished the concept of bestowing our future child with a Scandinavian name. However, I’ve faced criticism: “What an enormous ego you must have to call your kid ‘the great one’!” Contrary to popular belief, that’s not the reason at all. Instead, we simply admire and connect deeply with Swedish culture and traditions.

Magnus gets his humorous disposition from his father, as remembered by Farrell. In an interview with PEOPLE, Farrell shared a humorous incident involving Magnus during picture day at school. “The previous year, for his school photo, Magnus borrowed another student’s glasses despite not needing them,” the proud father explained, adding, “He struck a serious pose while wearing those glasses.”

A young individual takes pleasure in music, specifically mastering the keyboard. This blossoming artist forms part of a band along with two companions, and at times, even his father joins them.

Currently, he is enrolled in college at the University of Southern California. According to Farrell, he has been well-behaved. However, it’s said that he enjoys purchasing knives online, and he is quite engaged with the widely used streaming platform Tik-Tok.

2. Mattias Paulin Ferrell, 17

As a proud parent myself, I can relate to the joy and excitement that comes with welcoming a new child into the world. The feeling of holding your little bundle of joy in your arms for the very first time is indescribable. For this fortunate couple, they experienced this wonderful moment not once, but twice, when they welcomed their second child, a beautiful son named Mattias, on December 30, 2006.

In an interview with Amy Poehler on CBS This Morning, Ferrell shared that his kids have developed a similar sense of humor to him, bringing him great joy. Additionally, according to Parade, Mattias, one of his children, has been watching his old SNL sketches since the sixth grade. He expressed in the magazine how exciting it is for him to see this discovery. Furthermore, Mattias enjoys sports and has taken on the role of coaching his soccer team.

3. Axel Paulin Ferrell, 14

Ferrell and Paulin’s youngest son, Axel, was born on January 23, 2010, in Los Angeles. Ferrell has expressed frequently that one of his greatest pleasures is teasing or embarrassing his kids, including this adorable newborn.

In relation to Axel’s influence on the family, Will has shared that our household seems wholeheartedly fulfilled with his presence. He brings a delightful, playful energy that keeps us amused and engaged, making our parenting experience anything but monotonous.

I’ve learned from Farrel that Axel and his brothers are big fans of Halloween. Every year, they help him choose a costume, sometimes against his will, but he still ends up wearing it with enthusiasm.
