The White House recently posted another unusual AI-created image online. This one depicts President Donald Trump dressed as Master Chief, the main character from the popular video game series Halo. The image, shared on the official X (formerly Twitter) account with the caption “Power to the players,” shows Trump wearing the iconic green armor, standing in front of the White House and an American flag. Notably, the flag in the image only features 40 stars.

GameStop recently announced the end of the “console wars” in a post quoting their official statement. The statement explained that the rivalry, which began in the early 2000s with the release of the Xbox-exclusive game Halo: Combat Evolved, is now coming to a close. With Halo scheduled to launch on PlayStation in 2026 with cross-platform play, GameStop declared, “Power to the players,” signifying the official end of the competition.

The new game, Halo: Campaign Evolved, is a rebuilt version of the original Halo: Combat Evolved released in 2001. Previously, Halo games were only playable on Xbox, but now it’s available on PC as well.
For the first time ever, the game will officially be playable on PlayStation 5 in 2026. Players on PS5, PC, and Xbox will also be able to play together.
The announcement led the White House to share a strange image of Trump dressed as the video game character Master Chief. This was part of a series of AI-created images from his time in office, and each one felt more awkward than the last.
Although the post likely aims to celebrate the game no longer being exclusive to certain consoles, people online are mostly surprised and confused by the accompanying image.
