Phil Dunster will appear in another original production from AppleTV+, which hints at the second season of the psychological thriller. The series centers around Sophie Ellis, a woman grappling with memory loss as she endeavors to uncover her true identity that has been lost over time. For those who are unfamiliar, this series follows her journey.
Discussing Season 2 of Surface, it’s set to debut on February 21 and delves into the character of Sophie Ellis, who navigates high society London, gradually uncovering her identity and past secrets. Moving onto Phil Dunster, he portrayed a significant role in Ted Lasso across 34 episodes, from 2020 until 2023.
The show “Ted Lasso” revolves around its main character, an American football coach by the same name, who finds himself in an unforeseen situation when he’s hired to manage a faltering soccer team in the English Premier League – specifically, AFC Richmond.
In the first season, the role of Ted Lasso was brilliantly played by Jason Sudeikis, which contributed to the show’s comedic charm and earned it multiple Emmy Award nominations.
The show also set a new record by being the most nominated first-season comedy at that year’s awards. In fact, Phil Dunster was recognized for his performance in the series as well, receiving a nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category during 2023.
