Everstone Studio has added a new expansion called Hexi to their open-world RPG, Where Winds Meet. Available now as a free update—titled Home Afar—Hexi introduces a desert region to the game. Players can reach this new area by traveling through the Hexi-Jade Gate Pass and starting the first of three chapters planned for the expansion.
I’m so excited about the new expansion! They’ve added a bunch of cool stuff, especially these new Mystic Skills. There’s Tai Chi, which looks amazing for fighting, but my favorite is Moonleap Morph. You actually turn into a fish and glide across the sand in the new area – it’s going to be such a fun way to get around!
Players can unlock the new region by first completing the Qinghe Campaign – Still Shore. After that, they can begin the Hexi Main Chapter – By Lamplight quest, which will fully open the region for exploration. The area is full of rewards, including complete outfits and other cosmetic items like nameplates. Players can also find Hexi poems that, when collected, will unlock the Gilt-Fin Collection, offering valuable enhancement materials and recipes.
Players will have another chance to complete the Whitecrown Fortress campaign and earn the Iron Domination accessory. It will also be available to purchase from the Season Shop.
A challenging new World Boss called the Wandering Ark appears during sandstorms in the Hexi region’s Straying Steed Sands. Defeating it for the first time earns you the Withered Twig hair ornament, along with resources like Inner Way Notes, Medicinal Tales, and Echo Jades. You can earn even more rewards – including the Wandering Ark avatar and a special badge – by completing Sword Forge Challenges found in the Trials section.
Players can now explore the Bamboocut martial art, unlocking the Everspring Umbrella and Unfettered Rope Dart. Additionally, a new Mystic Skill called Flute of the Tides becomes available after completing the ‘By Lamplight’ chapter of the Hexi storyline and reaching level 14.
Players who enjoy teaming up can now try the new “Yama’s Seal” campaign for up to 10 players. The standard version is available now for level 81 players, and a more challenging version for level 86 players will be released on March 20th.
The studio announced a special event called “Mid-Season Sprint” running from March 13th to 19th. Players who have finished the main quest “A Horse Neighs in the Forest – Still Shore” can complete a weekly quest during this time to earn prizes, including items like Saver and Bonus Talismans, and Echo Jades.
On March 20th, we’re improving how characters grow in the game. This includes new limits for progress in Solo Mode, Character Level, and Gear Tier. We’re also adding a new Development System – we’ll share more about that soon! Plus, players level 86 and up can try a new 5-player Sword Trial, and we’re launching phase 2 of the Taiping Mausoleum Path Trial.
