I’m so excited! I just found out that Where Winds Meet will be available to preload on PlayStation 5 and PC starting November 12th at 2 PM Pacific Time, 5 PM Eastern, or 10 PM GMT. And get this – the game is free-to-play and the developers already blew past their goal of 10 million pre-registrations! It looks absolutely incredible, and I can’t wait to jump in.
Players who pre-registered will receive rewards when the game launches! To claim them, you’ll first need to finish the main quest called ‘Homecoming.’ Here’s what you’ll get:
- Pre-Registration Gift 1 – 1,000,000
- Pre-Registration Gift 2 – 3,000,000
- Patron of Winds Title Card – 5,000,000
- 500 Echo Jade – 7,000,000
- Swaying Lotus Skin – 10,000,000

How to Preload Where Winds Meet
You can download Where Winds Meet before its release on PlayStation 5 through the PSN store, and on PC via Steam or the game’s official launcher. It’s also available on the Epic Games Store for PC, but pre-downloading isn’t currently offered there.

You don’t have to pre-order the game to start playing or download it early, but a special version is available for $14.99 or £14.99. If you purchase this version through the PlayStation Store, you’ll also receive some bonus content.
- In-game Cosmetic Pack x1: Select one of three outfit sets
- In-game Player Name Card: Astral Trail Name Card Background x1
- In-game Common Currency: Coin x10,000
- In-game Draw Item: Lingering Melody x2

The game requires a significant amount of storage space. On PlayStation 5, it takes up 108 GB. For PC players, there are different options: the Lite version is 68 GB, the Standard version is 100 GB, and the Ultimate version is 120 GB.
The PlayStation Blog recently previewed Where Winds Meet, describing it as a large-scale adventure set in ancient China during the turbulent Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. The game features a huge open world with a variety of stories, side missions, and meaningful choices that impact the gameplay.
Just so you know, this game requires a constant internet connection to play, even in single-player mode. It doesn’t have an offline mode, and both single and multiplayer experiences are online only.
We first learned about Where Winds Meet during the PlayStation State of Play in May 2024, and we’ve been eagerly awaiting its release ever since. Good news – it’s finally coming out on November 14th!
