Where Winds Meet Is Adding a Familiar Vehicle Building Mechanic

Okay, so I’ve been playing Where Winds Meet lately, and they just added this new vehicle-crafting system. Honestly, it’s super similar to the Ultrahand ability from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – you can basically build anything you can imagine! It makes sense, because Where Winds Meet has gotten really popular since it came out, especially since it’s free-to-play and has tons of stuff to do. This new crafting thing just gives us even more to mess around with, borrowing a cool idea from another huge open-world game.

Based on the number of players, it seems people enjoyed Where Winds Meet from the very beginning. Within just one day of release, over 2 million people were playing, making it a top five game on Steam. The developers, Everstone Studios, are keeping the excitement going with regular updates, and players can anticipate a major update soon.

Where Winds Meet’s New Vehicle-Building Mechanic Is Now Live in China

On November 28th, the game Where Winds Meet added a new feature to its Chinese servers called “Ink Structure.” This allows players to build their own vehicles by combining different parts. Videos online show people creating things like helicopters, carts, and scooters, and it’s likely players will come up with even more complex creations, just like they did with the Ultrahand ability in Tears of the Kingdom. Fans of Zelda used the building tools in Tears of the Kingdom to make vehicles from Star Wars, build robots, and much more. Because Ink Structure seems just as flexible, we can expect to see similar creativity in Where Winds Meet soon.

The Ink Structure system is currently being tested with players in China, but the developers plan to release it worldwide eventually, though they haven’t announced a specific date. It’s expected to significantly change how the game is played, offering new ways to explore and battle. Players will be able to find collectible parts throughout the game world, some of which will have unique powers. Unlike some activities in Where Winds Meet that are single-player only, Ink Structure includes features that allow players to share designs for the vehicles they build with others.

The developers of Where Winds Meet have announced several upcoming improvements. Players can expect a fix for lag in Solo Mode around mid-December, as well as support for the Steam Deck. The game will also receive visual enhancements on PlayStation 5 and improvements to its translations.
