Where To Find The Missing Demoncalm Bell Fragment In Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet is constantly buzzing with activity, which can be overwhelming, especially when you add other players into the mix. The game throws a lot at you – little mysteries and things to do are everywhere. The Bell of Demoncalm is just one example; it’s a curious feature that doesn’t even have a quest to guide you.

So, I stumbled across something I could fix, and my character definitely hinted at it. It wasn’t obvious how to fix it right away, though. But trust me, it’s worth the effort! Getting it repaired makes a ton of other stuff in the game way easier. The only downside? Finding the missing piece is going to take a while, that’s for sure.

Where Is The Bell Of Demoncalm?

You’ll find the Bell of Demoncalm in a central location in Qinghe, directly on top of Moonveil Mountain. It’s located on the top floor of the Peace Bell Tower, and it’s hard to miss – it’s the most noticeable landmark in the whole area.

You can’t reach the Bell of Demoncalm – which is on the top floor – by climbing the outside of the Peace Bell Tower. However, you can climb most of the way up and then enter through the windows. Alternatively, you can take the longer route by going inside. It’s up to you how you want to get there.

Once you reach that top floor, the Bell of Demoncalm will be awaiting, albeit in a sorry state.

How To Get The Demoncalm Bell Fragment

When you look at the bell, you’ll immediately see a large piece is broken off, preventing it from ringing. However, a closer look reveals it can be fixed – you just need the missing fragment. Unfortunately, it’s nowhere to be found in the tower, and you won’t simply stumble upon it.

As a player, I’ve found that if you check the bell, it actually points you towards the missing item you need! Then, if you look at that item, it’ll tell you exactly where to find it – super helpful!

Finding Qi Sheng

You might have encountered Qi Sheng early in the game, near the first Wayfarer of the Verdant Wilds. He’s located a short distance past the Wayfarer, heading towards General’s Shrine. Qi Sheng manages one of the game’s many systems, called Melodies of Peace. It’s easy to forget about him, but he’s there at the beginning!

The Melodies of Peace is a complex network of diagrams that provides helpful benefits like boosted health and stamina, and even unlocks new skills such as Wallstride Lightness. Ultimately, completing the Melodies of Peace rewards you with the Bronze Bell Fragment, which is essential for fixing the Bell of Demoncalm.

I’ve figured out something about Melodies of Peace! You actually don’t have to unlock every single node to progress. Just focus on unlocking the ones you need to get to the next one – that’s all it takes!

In Melodies of Peace, you progress by turning in the Oddities you discover. Oddities are unique items found throughout the game world – things like Dagger Generals, purple poisonous flowers, red mushrooms, and Whisper Hives, just to name a few.

Collecting Oddities

As you progress through the Melodies of Peace, each new step will require more Oddities to unlock. Luckily, you can use any Oddities you find – the game doesn’t ask for specific types, so feel free to collect as many as you can without worrying about finding particular ones.

So, these little Oddities show up on my minimap as these tiny butterfly-like things. The weird part is, they only appear on the minimap, not the big world map, so you really have to be nearby to even see them. What I’ve found works great is unlocking a Grand Lightness skill, like Meteor Flight, early on. It lets me zip around super fast, and I can just drop down whenever I see an Oddity pop up on the minimap while I’m flying. Makes finding them way easier!

The game has a limited number of Oddities to discover. To see if you’ve already found all the Oddities in an area, check the ‘Sentient Beings’ section of your Journal.

Repairing The Bell Of Demoncalm

Once you’ve collected enough Oddities for Qi Sheng and received the Bronze Bell Fragment, return to Peace Bell Tower. Qi Sheng will actually tell you to do this!

Fixing the Demoncalm Bell is straightforward, but a little different than usual. Instead of simply repairing it, you need to use Construction Mode and place the Bronze Bell Fragment directly into the bell. When you try to repair it normally, it will automatically open Construction Mode for you.

To fix the Bell of Demoncalm, simply choose the Bronze Bell Fragment and click the green outline around the bell – this will automatically repair it. Then, just exit Construction Mode to go back to playing.

What Does The Bell Of Demoncalm Do?

Ringing the Bell of Demoncalm will broadcast its sound throughout the Qinghe region. As the game indicates, this will weaken the area’s world bosses, making them easier to defeat.

This item does exactly what it says – it permanently reduces the strength of enemies. You can even see the effect on world bosses directly on the map. If you’ve been having trouble with those bosses, the Bell of Demoncalm should make them a bit easier to handle.
