Where To Find Talismans In Elden Ring Nightreign

As an ardent fan, I must say that Elden Ring: Nightreign has a delightful twist of reviving familiar talismans from the original game. Yet, it’s not as straightforward as one might think to acquire these precious items in Nightreign. The ones I yearn for always seem to elude me, and even when I manage to find them, keeping them proves quite challenging.

Lucky for you, if you know the right places to search and persist in looking, chances are high that you’ll eventually discover the elusive ingredient you’ve been seeking. If not, you’ll at least uncover something valuable that will help further your mission of overpowering the Nightlords and ensuring a peaceful night’s rest. After all, when it comes to a three-member team racing against time, every charm is crucial.

What Is A Talisman?

A Talisman is a wearable accessory that enhances your abilities or characteristics in various methods. Typically, you get to use two Talismans at a time, and if you find one unsatisfactory, you can easily swap it out for a different one.

They can give upgrades such as:

  • Increasing maximum health
  • Increasing damage dealt
  • Decreasing damage taken
  • Increasing item discovery from slain enemies
  • Regaining health from critical hits
  • and more…

Twenty-one distinct forms of Talismans exist, and some Talismans may exhibit variation in terms of their grade and scarcity.

How Do I Get A Talisman?

During your quest, talismans can turn up in various manners and can be discovered at any moment, whether it’s broad daylight or the dead of night.

  1. Killing scarabs
  2. Looting chests

Relics might share the properties of Talismans, yet they aren’t Talismans per se. Therefore, if you come across the genuine article, the effects combine together.

It appears some sources claim that talismans may seldomly appear when defeating bosses. Yet, our attempts to reproduce such an outcome have thus far proven unsuccessful.

Generally speaking, scarabs serve as an effective means for acquiring Talismans. One can expect to find one each time, but the specific Talisman is always chosen at random.

Consequently, it’s wise to pause for a moment or two whenever you notice the distinctive sound of a scarab chiming around you.

The rewards are usually low-cost and extremely high-value.

Unfortunately, each Scarab yields only a solitary Talisman that isn’t transferable. Consequently, when playing cooperatively, other team members can grab Talismans from Scarabs you’ve slain. Luckily, Scarabs are abundant across the map, with higher concentrations near the center and in open fields.

In the vast open world, you’ll find some chests that consistently produce Talismans. The chest offering the most reliable chance for a Talisman drop can be found within Fort Haight.

The given location remains constant across all instances of maps, unchanged by geological shifts or changes in the Nightlord’s focus.

To get there, you’ll first need to navigate through the tunnel under the main entrance bridge, then conquer the boss hidden in the cellar below. Once the mysterious wall of fog disappears, ascend the stairs, eliminating any opponents that cross your path, and eventually, you’ll discover a treasure chest tucked away in the tower above.

This particular chest is extraordinary as it generates three Talismans, allowing you to select one for every member in your group to utilize.

It’s highly improbable, almost impossible, that identical Talismans (of the same kind and level) from this chest will show up anywhere else if they are not selected. So, don’t miss out on a Talisman you fancy in hopes it might appear again somewhere else. Also, remember that you can trade Talismans with other players by placing them on the ground and picking them up later.
