Back in 1997, while studying in college, an concept for a movie named Rebel Moon popped into Zack Snyder’s mind. He has previously mentioned that J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars served as inspiration, but make no mistake, it’s a unique universe of its own. Following his work on creating movies within the DC universe’s Synderverse, Snyder decided to dedicate his efforts towards bringing Rebel Moon to life after directing Justice League.

Starting August 2, 2023, fans can enjoy two-part director’s cuts of the films “Rebel Moon” – Part One: Chalice of Blood and “Rebel Moon” – Part Two: Curse of Forgiveness. These extended versions were released following the initial showings in 2023 and 2024 on Netflix.
