Over a decade prior to Liam Payne’s tragic passing, this pop sensation confided in us that he was, in essence, stillborn at birth and experienced recurring illnesses since his premature arrival by three weeks.

In his memoir, “Dare to Dream – Life as One Direction,” published in 2011, Payne disclosed this fact. It was also revealed then that he had only one fully functional kidney, a condition resulting from various health complications he faced after his birth.

After he was born, the artist behind Strip That Down shared that doctors initially couldn’t elicit a response from him. As a result, they had to revive him. Although it appeared he was alright at first, there were hidden issues beneath the surface.

Later on, Liam Payne disclosed that he came three weeks prior to his mom’s due date and often fell ill throughout his childhood. The music sensation recounted how frequent hospital visits were a part of his life between birth and age 4, yet doctors couldn’t pinpoint the cause of his illnesses.

It was disclosed that his kidney functioned improperly due to scarring, and medical professionals eventually discovered this. Additionally, Payne mentioned that he needed to administer 32 injections into his arm, both in the morning and evening, for improvement.

At the time when he was 18 years old, he also shared a detail – he only functions with one kidney effectively as the other one is non-functional. This means he must be mindful of his liquid intake, including water, to avoid consuming too much.

“I have to keep myself as healthy as possible,” the Teardrops singer wrote in the book at the time.

Sadly, it’s reported that Liam Payne passed away at the age of 31 following a fall from a third-story balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which occurred on October 16th.

As per ABC News reports, an initial autopsy suggested that the individual responsible for creating LP1 might have had various substances in his body, among them a substance known as “pink cocaine,” at the time of his tragic demise. The investigation into his death remains active at this point.
