When Kendall Jenner Faced Backlash for Her Wedding Guest Outfit; The Bride Responded Like THIS

As a seasoned fashion enthusiast who has followed Kendall Jenner‘s career from its humble beginnings, I must say that her journey through the world of high-fashion is nothing short of extraordinary. She’s not just a pretty face; she’s an innovator, a trendsetter, and a risk-taker who isn’t afraid to push boundaries.

Today, Kendall Jenner is well-established in the world of fashion, but her journey wasn’t always smooth sailing. In 2021, she faced a wave of criticism over her choice of attire as a guest at her friend and social media influencer Lauren Perez’s wedding.

28-year-old Jenner donned a daring black dress from Monot’s spring/summer 2022 collection, featuring diamond cutouts that showcased her midriff and chest at unusual angles. This bold fashion choice sparked controversy, with critics criticizing it harshly online as inappropriate attire for a wedding. The Kardashians star faced strong criticism from online commentators regarding her outfit selection.

As Lauren Perez, I couldn’t have been more unfazed on my special day, and instead, I wholeheartedly endorsed my best friend’s radiant appearance, publicly declaring her as “stunning” on social media platforms. Fast forward to several months post-wedding, I, the founder of Anablue skincare, rekindled the conversation about Kendall Jenner’s Monot dress by posting a series of photos from my reception, which once again sparked discussions about her stunning attire.

As I looked back on the most memorable night of 2021 – my wedding night – I took a moment to wish all of you a prosperous new year in my latest post on December 31st. Not long after, a fellow fan showed appreciation for Jenner’s dress and encouraged us all to let go of any concerns, saying “If the bride herself doesn’t care, why should we? Let’s just relax.”

The show of solidarity impressed Perez as she chimed in with praise for her bestie. “Tell ‘em! SHE LOOKED STUNNING AND I LOVED IT!” the influencer defended. Eventually, Jenner picked up on the note of appreciation and revealed that her dress was pre-approved for the wedding by the bride herself. “@laurenperez obvi asked for your approval in advance too. We love a beach wedding,” Jenner replied to Perez’s comment under the post.

The brief conversation was enough for the naysayers to back down, knowing Jenner’s outfit was okayed by Perez, as many speculated that the model was stealing her thunder. The comments have now been turned off for this particular post.

Nevertheless, the world couldn’t stop talking about Jenner’s dress. According to Business Insider, etiquette expert and former wedding coordinator Elaine Swann backed the jolt of criticism, saying the model “certainly made a mistake” and broke etiquette rules with her outfit choice. She insinuated that Jenner took the attention away from the bride and “stood out” from other guests at the wedding.

I was absolutely thrilled to share that I attended the secretive beach nuptials of my beloved idol, Lauren Perez, and her beloved David Waltzer, right here in sunny Miami last November! What a dream come true it was for me to witness such a magical event!

In June 2024, former “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star, Jenner, caused a stir once again with an attention-grabbing fashion choice during the Vogue World: Paris Show. Instead of wearing shoes, she decided to walk barefoot to the Louvre, grabbing the spotlight.

She shared photos from her visit to the museum while boasting of a special late-night admission in the caption. Jenner wore an all-black ensemble with a coordinated black top and a long, flowy skirt. The model paired the look with her bare feet, skipping footwear for the night. “The Louvre at midnight,” she wrote.

Her followers found her stunt unconvincing. One comment read, “Going barefoot in the Louvre? I highly doubt it,” while another expressed their disbelief with, “Barefoot at the Louvre? That’s just inconceivable.”

Shoes or not, Jenner seemed to enjoy a lavish time at the Louvre Museum all by herself at midnight, admiring the works of artistic greats like Paolo Veronese and Leonardo Da Vinci.
