Back in July 2014, the media was abuzz with tales of a heated argument between singer Justin Bieber and actor Orlando Bloom. This incident allegedly took place at the Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza, Spain, where both stars were present during an evening filled with celebrities.
As reported by TMZ, there was an apparent altercation between Bloom and Bieber, during which it seems that Bloom tried to throw a punch at Bieber. However, no direct video evidence of the punch itself was recorded. What was captured on camera, though, is undeniably clear footage indicating a heated confrontation between the two individuals, with several people intervening to separate them.
Onlookers reported that the situation intensified when Bloom declined to greet Bieber. It was rumored that Bieber made a remark concerning Bloom’s former spouse, supermodel Miranda Kerr. This incident became one of the most widely discussed celebrity disagreements in that particular year.
When the occurrence happened, Orlando Bloom was then going through a separation from his spouse, Miranda Kerr. They tied the knot in July 2010 and declared their separation in October 2012. It was speculated that Bieber and Kerr had developed a close relationship during the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where she strutted down the runway and he took the stage for a performance.
Reports claim that tabloids have spotted Tabloids also reported an attendance at the same afterparty by Miranda Kerr and Bieber, but both Miranda Kerr and her legal representative have refuted rumors of a romantic relationship between them.
Nevertheless, there persisted much conjecture, particularly following Bieber’s posting of a bikini picture of Kerr on social media soon after the Ibiza incident. This post was swiftly removed, but it served to intensify speculation that the conflict had been ignited by the rumored relationship.
One day following the incident, ex-Spanish journalist Anastasia Skolkova shared with The Mirror that Leonardo DiCaprio was indeed in the restaurant, occupying Bloom’s table, when the altercation took place.
According to Skolkova, it was truly spectacular. People rose from their seats as if they were attending a performance, watching intently and clapping in unison. DiCaprio, apparently, was quite excited. Additionally, TMZ reported that the crowd cheered when it was said that Bloom allegedly swung at Bieber.
According to reports, the situation escalated when Bieber supposedly commented on Kerr being “good,” which apparently angered Bloom and led him to respond physically.
After the event, Bieber persisted in antagonizing Bloom online. He uploaded a picture depicting Bloom looking distressed, followed by a post saying “Staying optimistic” on platform X (originally known as Twitter). These posts were subsequently removed.
It’s worth noting that in 2014, there were rumors swirling about a connection between Orlando Bloom and Selena Gomez, as they were seen together at various events and a club in Las Vegas. However, everyone involved has since moved on – Justin Bieber is married to Hailey Bieber, while Orlando Bloom is engaged to Katy Perry. It’s intriguing that Katy Perry attended Justin and Hailey’s wedding in 2019 without Orlando, leading some to speculate if there might still be lingering tension from the past.
