When Is the Perfect Time to Start Listening to Mariah Carey’s Christmas Music? Singer Reveals, Along with the Best Holiday Gift She’s Ever Received

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Mariah Carey’s illustrious career, I find myself consistently amazed by her unparalleled success and the opulence that comes with it. Her latest revelation about receiving diamonds as the best Christmas gift she’s ever received only serves to underscore her extraordinary status. It’s a stark reminder of the vast chasm between our humble lives and the glamorous world of a global icon like Mariah Carey.

Mariah Carey has shared details on the most cherished Christmas present she’s ever been given, leaving us somewhat green with envy. However, we’re genuinely thrilled for her happiness!

On this particular Friday, November 29th, Vogue uploaded a fresh installment in their Now Serving series on YouTube. In this episode, Mariah Carey graced us as their special celebrity guest. She donned an apron and baked Christmas cookies for the platform while dishing out some of her cherished holiday customs.

At some point, someone inquired about the most delightful holiday present the Christmas Monarch had ever been given, and without hesitation, she admitted that it might have been diamonds.

She hastily mentioned that although it was something she preferred not to verbally express, circumstances necessitated her to do so. She clarified that the individual who gave her the valuable gemstone is no longer present.

In another part of the video, the artist behind “All I Want for Christmas Is You” shared her opinion on when it’s suitable to start decorating the Christmas tree and playing holiday tunes.

As an ardent enthusiast, I’ve got a knack for patience, and while November 1st is my preferred starting point, I’ve also found myself holding out until the Thanksgiving festivities in the past. However, some fellow fans can’t wait that long. Typically, I hold off until I release my video titled “It’s Time”; once that’s out, we’re off and running! So, stay tuned!

This year, on November 1st, Carey commenced the festive season by releasing a video that marked the beginning of Christmas, complete with an eerie yet entertaining twist inspired by The Addams Family.

In the video, I embraced the enchanting allure of Morticia Addams, donning a shimmering black gown, stacked diamond necklaces, darkened eyeshadow, and a sleek black wig. Dancing with a fellow portraying Gomez Addams, I playfully interacted before giving him a swift push away, and in an unexpected twist, aiming a knife at him – alas, it was all for show. As the festive countdown to Christmas unfolded, a vibrant red holiday dress magically appeared beside me, and with a delightful grin, I addressed the camera.

As “All I Want for Christmas Is You” began to play, the previously somber mood in the video instantly transformed into a festive one, prompting Carey to exclaim, “Let’s get this party started!”, or simply, “Here we go!

In the end, Carey playfully winked and sent a kiss towards the camera while her on-screen partner transformed into a lively snowman in the video’s finale.

For over three decades, Carey has been expanding a Christmas-themed brand since her initial holiday album release. Currently touring for her Christmas Time concert series, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on November 8th, she invited her 13-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe (shared with ex-husband Nick Cannon), to join her during an intermission performance.

This year, the renowned vocalist is collaborating with Virgin Hotels to establish Christmas-themed bars nationwide, all themed around her classic holiday tune, commemorating the 30th anniversary of its release.
