As a follower who has witnessed the highs and lows of rock ‘n’ roll for decades, I can say that the news about Lucy-Bleu Knight’s passing has left an indelible mark on all those who knew her or were inspired by her talent. It is heartbreaking to see such a promising life cut short, especially when it involves someone as close to the music community as Slash’s stepdaughter.

On a deeply unfortunate day, July 19, 2024, Slash’s stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, sadly passed away. This renowned guitarist of the popular rock ‘n’ roll group shared the heartbreaking news on social media.

Now, almost a month later, reports related to her death have been revealed.

According to the latest updates from the Los Angeles Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office, Lucy-Bleu Knight, the stepdaughter of renowned musician Slash, passed away due to hydrogen sulfide poisoning. The report further reveals that her death was a result of suicide.

On Thursday, August 29th, a statement about the incident that occurred in a private residence where Lucy-Bleu Knight was discovered unresponsive in July was made public by the Coroner’s office.

Law enforcement discovered her during a routine wellness inspection. Shortly following this incident, the incredibly gifted stepdaughter of Slash was officially declared deceased at 3 p.m. on the same day.

As stated on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website, hydrogen sulfide is a colorless, flammable gas that can be extremely harmful. Exposure to large amounts of this gas can lead to quick loss of consciousness and ultimately death for the affected individual.

Following the passing of Lucy-Bleu Knight, Slash (whose real name is Saul Hudson) posted an emotional message on Instagram.

In a touching tribute penned down, “the beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson” was announced to have passed away serenely in Los Angeles, California on July 19, 2024. This poignant message was shared by the renowned musician himself.

In the continuation of his post, Slash mentioned that his stepdaughter was exceptionally gifted, possessing a strong sense of self and ambitious aspirations.

After he shared a post about Lucy-Bleu Knight, who was born on the 6th of December, 1998, numerous fans and acquaintances expressed their sympathies to the guitarist.

Among them was Melissa Reese, a member of Guns N’ Roses, who extended warm affection to Slash, joined by model Susan Holmes McKagan. It’s worth noting that Susan is married to Duff McKagan, the band’s bass player from Guns N’ Roses.

Additionally, Richard Fortus, another band member, likewise extended warm wishes and positive vibes towards Slash.
