Actress Cynthia Erivo is slated to feature in the upcoming film titled “Karoshi,” produced by 87Eleven Entertainment.

According to an article from Deadline, the actress is set to appear in the film with Teo Yoo and Isabel May. Previously, they have been featured in productions such as Past Lives, The Recruit, and 1883.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the upcoming film, Karoshi! Behind the scenes, the talented Chad Stahelski from 87Eleven Entertainment, alongside Alex Young and Jason Spitz, are the masterminds bringing this project to life. Notably, their production company has recently secured a deal with Lionsgate, adding an extra layer of anticipation for this cinematic adventure!

According to reports, the movie’s production is set to start in June, with Takashi Doscher at the helm as director. Interestingly, he has also written the screenplay himself.

Though specifics are scarce, the movie is reportedly categorized as a corporate thriller with a samurai influence. As for the characters played by Erivo, Yoo, and May, their roles remain shrouded in secrecy.

It’s worth noting that Cynthia Erivo has a full schedule ahead as she prepares to reprise her character, Elphaba Thropp, in the upcoming Wicked sequel. Notably, Jon M. Chu is slated to direct this next installment of Wicked.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Cynthia Erivo will appear as a set of sextuplets in Poker Face on Peacock during Season 2. Furthermore, this renowned actress and singer has recently released her single titled Replay, which is scheduled to be part of an upcoming album.

In theaters on November 21, 2025, “Wicked” serves as the second installment in Chu’s duology, a film adaptation of the stage musical that was originally based on Gregory Maguire’s novel.
