As a lifestyle expert with years of experience observing and analyzing personalities in the public eye, I find myself deeply concerned about James McCoy Taylor‘s repeated run-ins with the law and controversial behavior. While it’s true that everyone deserves the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, the mounting evidence against Taylor paints a troubling picture.
On Sunday, August 4th, James McCoy Taylor, recognized for his time on The Bachelorette with JoJo Fletcher, was taken into custody at the College Station Police Department due to warrants stemming from an incident on April 24th. These warrants led to charges against Taylor, which include assault resulting in physical harm and unlawful restraint. He later posted a $8000 bond and was released the same day.
In his interview with PEOPLE, Taylor emphasized that there wasn’t even a single scratch on him, and he showed photos to back up this claim. Additionally, he questioned how it was possible for someone to be arrested without inflicting any injuries in the process.
Taylor has encountered legal issues before, one of which occurred in 2022 when he was apprehended in College Station for driving under the influence and illegally carrying a weapon. According to local news, he was also caught urinating in a parking garage. Despite being advised by a police officer not to drive, he disregarded this advice, leading to his arrest. At the time, he was an 18-year-old college freshman who was confused about the situation, resulting in him having to post a $7000 cash bail.
In response to Taylor’s opinions about the Capitol riots on January 6 of this year, Bachelor Nation expressed disapproval and labeled him as contentious. Furthermore, some people have found evidence of his support for those events through his Twitter account. However, he denies attending later on but asserted that the FBI had investigated him that day.
Following his involvement in backing riots, Mike Taylor was expelled from Bachelor Nation when its creator, Mike Fleiss, publicly pointed this out on Twitter. Later, the creator confirmed the banishment on social media, making it clear by updating his Instagram bio to state “exiled from the Bachelor Nation”.
In another interview with PEOPLE Magazine, James McCoy expressed his frustration. He stated that wealth and popularity are not worth it because they only bring ruin, according to him. He asserted that he has never caused harm to anyone and has always been kind to everyone he came across. Thus, by suggesting that he didn’t reveal much about the woman he encountered in April other than not knowing her name.
Taylor insists he is not guilty, claiming there’s no evidence supporting the allegations made against him. Both the public and law enforcement officials are closely monitoring Taylor’s activities.
