Regardless if it’s about trivial matters or grand occurrences such as Jennifer Lopez’s Los Angeles film premiere, Unstoppable, the future is always unpredictable. As reported by People magazine, the scheduled screening on Tuesday, January 7, was unfortunately called off due to city fires and wild activity.
The distributor Amazon MGM Studios’ spokesperson shared with the mentioned publication that the initial screening, initially planned for the DGA Theatre, has been called off due to current safety issues related to increased windiness and potential fires in Los Angeles.
The spokesperson emphasized that while they were eager to share the amazing and motivating film with everyone, safety is their utmost concern. They also expressed gratitude for everyone’s comprehension and asked everyone to take care.
The film “Unstoppable” narrates a true, uplifting tale about Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with only one leg. In the movie, Jharrel Jerome plays the main character, while Jennifer Lopez takes on the role of his on-screen mother named Judy.
In addition to Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Shawn Hatosy, Alex Barone, and Parker Sack, the film boasts a number of other talented actors. The movie is under the direction of William Goldenberg and is produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
Following its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024, this movie had a restricted cinema run on December 6, 2024. As of January 16, 2025, it will be accessible for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, as reported by People magazine.
According to reports, the movie “Wolf Man” produced by Universal Pictures, featuring Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, had been scheduled for its premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre as well. However, just like many others, this screening was also called off on Tuesday.
