‘We’re Talking….’: Cher Speaks Of Musical Mamma Mia And Wish To Work With THIS Actor

As a dedicated follower of Cher’s illustrious career spanning over five decades, the prospect of another Mamma Mia film is nothing short of exhilarating! Having grown up listening to her timeless hits and admiring her captivating performances, the possibility of seeing her reprise her role as Ruby Sheridan in a third installment feels like a dream come true.

As a die-hard Abba enthusiast and unapologetic Cher fanatic, I’ve been over the moon hearing whispers about a third Mamma Mia film! The legendary diva herself has sent shivers down my spine with her recent hints, leaving me on the edge of my seat. Not only that, but she’s shared her heartfelt feelings about rejoining forces with one of her dearest companions for this beloved music extravaganza – a collaboration I can hardly contain my excitement over!

For those unfamiliar, the artist known for hits like “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “I Got You Babe,” and “Strong Enough” has recently published an autobiography titled after themselves.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cher candidly shared that there are discussions taking place regarding a project. Moreover, she expressed her uncertainty about the timing but confirmed that they are indeed discussing it, hinting at potential involvement in the near future given her dual talents as both a singer and an actress.

In the second part of “Mamma Mia,” titled “Mamma Mia!: Here We Go Again” in 2018, Cher joined the cast. Her role was portraying Ruby Sheridan, the mother of the character Donna who had previously passed away.

In the movie, Sheridan unexpectedly arrives at the Greek inn that Sophie manages and where the business is being restarted, following Donna.

While Meryl Streep played the role of Donna, Sophie was portrayed by Amanda Seyfried.

As a devoted fan, I found myself witnessing the heartwarming moment when Ruby Sheridan, portrayed by Cher, rekindled her relationship with Fernando, skillfully played by Andy Garcia. To evoke memories of the past, they crooned the poignant ABBA tune, “Fernando,” a choice that spoke volumes about their shared history.

Speaking about her work on the second version of “The Shoop Shoop Song,” the artist described it as both “stunning” and “packed with enjoyment.

Cher, when referring to Meryl Streep as “Mary Louise,” further mentioned that she accepted the part in the film playfully, since Meryl Streep was already associated with it.

In her conversation, Cher found the notion of portraying Meryl Streep’s on-screen mother amusingly absurd.

As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly sharing that Cher, referring to the actress from “The Devil Wears Prada,” mentioned that she’s been reaching out, hoping to bring her back for the anticipated third movie sequel.

Additionally, Judy Craymer, the producer of Mamma Mia, is hoping to include both Cher and Meryl Streep in her upcoming movie production as well.

Previously, during their discussion on the project, Craymer hinted at having a concept for a third Mamma Mia installment. This potential sequel could provide a chance for renowned actresses to reappear on-screen once more.
