As a dedicated fan of *NSYNC since their early days, I can’t contain my excitement as Chris Kirkpatrick, one of the original members, hinted at the possibility of a reunion during Deadpool & Wolverine‘s New York premiere. His teasing comments to ET about “kicking the tires” and seeing if the band’s “car will still drive” left me hopeful that my favorite boy band might make a triumphant return.
Chris Kirkpatrick, a cherished ex-member of the legendary boy band *NSYNC, has hinted at a possible reunion during the New York premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine. In an interview with ET’s Rachel Smith, he shared some intriguing news about the group’s plans, leaving fans feeling optimistic.
*NSYNC reunion talks in progress
Kirkpatrick remains optimistic about an NSYNC comeback. During a recent interview, when questioned about potential new tunes and a tour, he shared, “We’ve been discussing this for some time now. We’re checking if we can still make it work and, of course, keeping our fingers crossed.” Fans are thrilled at the prospect following these encouraging words.
Justin Timberlake invited former bandmates to join him onstage
The path to a potential reunion for the band has shown some encouraging signs lately. In the past year, former members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone joined forces to create a new song for Timberlake’s movie “Trolls Band Together.” This collaboration ignited enthusiasm among fans who had long anticipated more from the group.

In March, Timberlake ignited speculation of a reunion during his Forget the World tour stop by inviting his past bandmates to perform with him on stage. They teamed up for a rendition of “Paradise” from Timberlake’s most recent album, Everything I Thought It Was. Kirkpatrick shared his feelings, expressing, “I couldn’t help but smile the entire time! I was thinking, ‘I truly miss this!’… Those guys are amazing.”
Kirkpatrick expressed his hope that we all share the same expectation for the future: that our fanbase and many others still desire certain things from the band. He cautioned that we cannot let them down, so while nothing is guaranteed, the band will take their fans’ desires into serious consideration.

*NSYNC’s music in Deadpool & Wolverine
On Monday, the debut of the film was extraordinary for an additional reason. The Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack featured the popular hit “Bye Bye Bye” by *NSYNC in its tracklist. Kirkpatrick shared his enthusiasm, remarking, “When we received the call, it was like, ‘We approve this, we approve that,’ but for this one, it was more like, ‘Wow, we’re approving the use of this iconic song!'”
He declared he had spotted Deadpool and intended to overrule everyone’s votes, regardless of their choices, for this song to make the cut. They might have preferred otherwise, but he was determined to include it in the film.
