Wendy Moniz, who plays the character of Governor Lynelle Perry in the beloved neo-Western drama series Yellowstone, recently bids farewell to the series. She reflected on her time working on the show in a touching social media post. Moniz shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the set of her hit show Yellowstone on Instagram, and alongside, she wrote a lengthy note in the caption.
The actress has completed filming her last scenes for season 5, part 2 of Yellowstone, expressing emotions such as sentimentality, pride, and gratitude. She stated, “I’ve wrapped up my role on Yellowstone, and I’m feeling a mix of sentimental, proud, and grateful feelings.”
In one of the photos, there was a picture of the actress, who was beaming and gazing at balloons from a dressing room doorway while looking up. Additionally, a photo of her chair with her name etched on the back was included. Moniz expressed gratitude for having collaborated with numerous “skilled, committed, and compassionate individuals” since 2017, mentioning that she had a delightful time working on the series.
She went on to detail that her final scene was wrapped up on August 1st, two years ago she had posted about gratitude on the same day. Later, Moniz pointed to a post from 2022 in the second slide, which featured a highlighted date in a yellow circle. In this post, she expressed feeling privileged to be involved with this series.
After wrapping up her role on the show, The Wheelman actress shared her feelings about the experience. In her own words, she said, “There’s been much to ponder upon,” expressing that the unique environment, filled with extraordinary individuals who have kept it vibrant and alive, has frequently felt like a second home for her during the last seven years.
In her post, her fellow actors also offered encouraging remarks. John Emmet Tracy, depicting Ellis Steele in the show, extended his congratulations on Wendy Moniz’s remarkable performance as Lynelle and commended her hard work. He expressed feelings of gratitude for getting to act alongside her. Meanwhile, Hassie Harrison, playing Laramie, declared Wendy Moniz as the “ULTIMATE babe” and stated that she loves her forever in the post.
Meanwhile, Yellowstone season 5, part two, will premiere on November 10, 2024, on Paramount.
