Two of Elfrida’s family members are upset and crying. A man pushes a young woman aside, and she sees Ingrid standing there – it’s Beverly Marsh, the character we first met in the 2017 film IT. We previously learned that Beverly’s mother had passed away and her father, who is present at Juniper Hill, was abusive and blamed her for the tragedy. This scene after the credits gives us a deeper look into Beverly’s difficult past, expanding on her story from Welcome to Derry.
Ingrid gives Beverly a disturbing smile and claims that people in Derry don’t actually die. This is noteworthy because Mrs. Kersh, who Beverly faced in the movie Chapter Two, was a form of IT. This new connection between Ingrid and Mrs. Kersh offers a possible explanation for why IT chose that specific appearance when interacting with Beverly.
Lilly Bainbridge Is More Than Likely NOT Beverly Marsh’s Mom

If Lilly had been the one who died by suicide in that room, we likely would have seen a clearer connection – maybe her turtle bracelet or a mention of her full name, Elfrida Lillian Marsh. Given Lilly’s difficult past, it’s sadly believable she might have ended up in another abusive relationship and back at Juniper Hill, where she ultimately died. Over 26 years, people experience many changes – friendships can fade, and new traumas can occur. While it’s possible the woman who was hanged in the post-credits scene of Welcome to Derry isn’t Lilly, it seems improbable.
Welcome to Derry Could Introduce Us to a Character With Connections to Elfrida and Beverly
In the final episode, Pennywise revealed to Marge that he experiences time differently and actually tried to kill her to stop Richie from ever being born. This led Marge and Lilly to wonder if IT might travel further back in time to eliminate one of their ancestors and change the present.
