In a heartfelt post on her Instagram stories, the star of Vanderpump Rules expressed, “Welcome to the world, my dear child.” Previously, she has discussed her choice to have a baby through an unconventional method, as shared by Kent.
As reported by US Weekly, she welcomed her first daughter, Ocean, with former fiancé Randall Emmett in 2021. However, they split up later that year. Previously, Kent had disclosed that she chose the method of intrauterine insemination (IUI) and a sperm donor to conceive another child.
In January, the star of the reality show shared with Cosmopolitan that she hadn’t anticipated following this particular path. Originally, Kent envisioned herself in a standard relationship and starting a family, but she expressed gratitude that the universe had other plans for her, and she was grateful for the alternative route she found herself on now.
She felt the need to start conversing about it because there are women in this world who wait for a guy to arrive and just want to have children even though there is an alternative to having them. She added, “If you want children and are only waiting for ‘that person’ to come into your life, let’s talk about a different route that we can take.”
On her podcast, Give Them Lala in March, the reality TV star expressed that when choosing her sperm donors, physical appearance held little importance. Instead, she emphasized the need for them to be intelligent as she admitted that she herself wasn’t.
In the spirit of transparency, let me share a personal reflection: I found myself bewildered when I discovered I was expecting another child straight away. I had envisioned taking my time to acclimate, to immerse myself in the role of motherhood once, and then again with this new addition. As Kent put it, “Even my fertility specialist seemed to view this as more of a casual meet-and-greet rather than the momentous occasion that it felt like for me. It happened so swiftly.”
According to US Weekly, she later revealed that she had stored a significant amount of sperm from her donor, which means she could potentially conceive another child in the future. This might suggest some plans or possibilities for her life in store.
