On Wednesdays, the second season wrapped up with Part 2’s release. We witnessed some wild happenings, including Tyler’s peculiar family gathering and secrets unfolding about Morticia. The Frump women truly stole the show, while Enid proved to be the best friend one could ask for. Even Pugsley got a chance to display his powers before the curtain fell. However, fans were eagerly anticipating another catchy dance scene featuring Wednesday, our beloved daughter of doom. While Jenna Ortega hinted that there wouldn’t be a significant dance break, the second season surprisingly offers another, somewhat unforeseen dance sequence from Wednesday… almost.

In episode 6, Wednesday is on a mission to locate Tyler and Francoise, a patient from Willow Hall who disappeared at the end of Part 1. As the story unfolds, it’s revealed that Francoise is actually Tyler’s mother, known as Hyde, and the sister of Isaac Night, who was previously introduced as Pugsley’s undead companion Slurp. In episode 8, we learn that Isaac was once Gomez’s closest friend, but their relationship turned sour to the point where he attempted to harm Gomez (which certainly adds a new layer of complexity!).
On hump day, Wednesday pays a visit to Grandmama Frump for guidance, where she discovers the tale of Rosaline Rotwood, a deceased Nevermore Academy professor once known to both Grandmama and Raven. Her cottage, which serves as the residence for Morticia and Gomez on campus, bears her name, and her grave at Nevermore holds an extraordinary significance – any raven touching it and reciting the etched inscription can gain psychic abilities. Against better judgment, Wednesday attempts this feat, but Enid happens to interrupt them, leading to unforeseen consequences. In a comical twist of fate, they find themselves trapped in a body-swapping predicament reminiscent of “Freaky Friday.
In the course of time, Enid feels hurt upon discovering some less than complimentary remarks about herself in one of Wednesday’s compositions. Determined to retaliate against Wednesday, she decides to assert her individuality while they share a body. She does this by wearing an extravagantly vibrant sweater, a plaid skirt, purple tights, and the most eye-catching boots possible. To further express her playful defiance, she loosens Wednesday’s typically neat pigtails and performs a lively dance to BLACKPINK’s energetic pop song “Boombaya” in the common area, much to the surprise of fellow students.
In the second season, everyone finds it peculiar when Wednesday Addams suddenly starts dancing exuberantly, but matters escalate further. On this occasion, she’s forgotten to take a crucial allergy medicine, and it turns out that Wednesday has an unusual sensitivity to colors. Consequently, her skin starts reacting adversely, causing a rash. Meanwhile, it’s Enid (in Wednesday’s body) who is experiencing intense itching. Since there’s live broadcasting involved, the situation becomes even more distressing for Wednesday (now in Enid’s body).
After watching the video at a later time, Enid feels disappointed to discover that Wednesday had ended things with her boyfriend. However, it’s understandable given that he had been deceitful about having a girlfriend back home. As a result, there’s a humorous scene where Enid takes revenge in the second season of Wednesday.
In time, Enid and Wednesday manage to shatter the enchantment by gaining a deeper insight into each other. This newfound knowledge fortifies their relationship as friends, which proves crucial in the closing chapters. When faced with a risky decision, Enid transforms into a wolf to shield Wednesday from imminent peril. With her journey northwards, Wednesday seeks out Enid in hopes of discovering if she can assist in reversing Wednesday’s transformation back to human form. Such moments that range from mutual teasing on video calls to selfless acts aimed at each other’s survival – truly define a strong friendship.
