As a fan who has grown up with the Addams Family and Lady Gaga, I can hardly contain my excitement over the news that these two iconic figures will be sharing the screen in Wednesday season two! One standout scene from the first season of “Wednesday” was certainly the iconic dance performed by our beloved Addams family character, portrayed by Jenna Ortega. This dance clip garnered massive attention and even sparked the popularity of a few songs, including “Goo Goo Muck” and, surprisingly enough, Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary,” which gained renewed interest over a decade later due to a popular video mashup featuring Wednesday’s graceful movements. Now, in an unexpected twist, Lady Gaga is set to appear in some capacity in “Wednesday” season two.
Based on reports from Entertainment Weekly, it’s unclear what specific role Lady Gaga will play, but it appears she’s currently filming for a project in Europe. You see, there was this peculiar mentor-like bond between Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday, or so it seemed to me. If the one and only Lady Gaga were to join our cast, it’d have to be a duo of monsters who truly comprehend each other on a deeper level.
Similar to Christina Ricci portraying a new character instead of an Addams family member, Lady Gaga might play an unfamiliar role. It’s intriguing to imagine her as a peculiar cousin from the Frump side of the family, sharing a resemblance with Morticia.
