Wednesday Season 2 part 1 ending explained

In the concluding episode of Wednesday’s second season, part 1 – titled “If These Woes Could Talk” – Wednesday, accompanied by her grandmother, ventures to a cemetery to examine the ashes of the individuals believed to be outcasts buried there. To their surprise, they find that the urns contained no human remains. In search of Lois, they enlist Uncle Fester’s help to investigate Willow Hill.

Instead, it’s revealed on Wednesday that Agnes, the protege, discovers the deceitful death certificates of the outcasts were authenticated by Augustus Stonehurst. He was previously a teacher at Nevermore and later became a physician at Willow Hill.

Simultaneously, after the near-fatal bird assault on Nevermore, Wednesday pursues a mysterious figure in a hood, thinking it’s the lethal Avian responsible. On the other hand, Thing ventures into Willow Hill and requests Fester to locate Stonehurst.

As for Stonehurst, he’s grown old and can no longer communicate verbally. Yet, his talkative parrot serves as a valuable source of information for Fester. This feathery friend supplies him with crucial details and a list of numbers necessary to locate Lois.

In the intense climax of the fourth episode, Wednesday is attempting to guide a enigmatic outsider away from Willow Hill. During this endeavor, she encounters Tyler in his transformed Hyde state. As they pass, the woman accompanying Wednesday manages to flee, but Hyde grabs the other woman and hurls her out of a window just as police arrive on the scene.

Onlookers observe a bloody corpse lying on the ground from Wednesday’s event, and as a voiceover speaks, “I’ve longed to confront death face-to-face. Yet, in my last seconds, all I can hear is my mother’s words echoing in my mind: Perhaps I have only worsened things… drastically so.
