As a die-hard fan who has watched Rosie O’Donnell’s journey through the years, I must say that witnessing her son Blake’s wedding to Teresa Garofalow Westervelt was an emotional rollercoaster! The photos of their first dance and the whole family cheering them on were heartwarming.

In an industry-related wedding ceremony on August 16 (this past Friday), Blake O’Donnell, a well-known figure in the industry, and his longtime partner Teresa Garofalow Westervelt officially tied the knot!

Rosie, Mom’s Instagram post, announced the delightful news with pictures capturing the lovely event, such as one showing the newlywed couple enjoying a private dance for the first time together.

“Rosie labeled this photo ‘The O’Donnells’ first dance,'” she wrote, capturing the moment where her youngest son wore a crisp white jacket and his newly wedded spouse, adorned in a delicate lace gown with long sleeves and a beautiful bustle at the back, danced together on their special day.

 

In another photo, the newlyweds are captured locking lips, while their entire family celebrates this joyous occasion. Previously a host of The View, she additionally posted multiple images showcasing her mother-son dance, and mentioned in the caption that they selected Cyndi Lauper’s 1983 hit “Time After Time” as their special song.

If you ever feel lost, I’ll always be there for you, as our special mother-son dance tune reminds us over and over again. And let me tell you, it’s overflowing with love.

Everyone appeared stunning, adorned in elegant clothing. Notably, Rosie seemed agelessly youthful while wearing a striking sage green pantsuit embellished with delicate watercolor floral patterns and a crisp white blouse.

       

Blake Garofalo Westervelt has been in a relationship with Teresa for six and a half years, as mentioned in a post on his Instagram account commemorating their anniversary. In 2021, he shared that five years prior, he sent her a message on social media, and expressed his gratitude that she didn’t ignore him. He went on to say that he feels incredibly fortunate to have fallen in love with such an incredible person. Wishing Teresa a belated anniversary, he affectionately referred to her as “baby girl.”

Blake usually avoids being in the limelight, but he’s been spotted on Rosie’s Instagram from time to time, often with Teresa. Back in December 2022, Rosie revealed that her son had proposed to Teresa during a live performance of Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
