Weapons Teaser: Children Vanish in Midst of Night in Zach Cregger’s Upcoming Horror Film; WATCH

Warner Bros. Studios has unveiled a trailer for the upcoming horror film titled Weapons. Earlier, the creators of the movie shared sneak peeks during the CinemaCon gathering. Notably, Zach Cregger praises this new production as a sequel to the Barbarian film. The latest trailer differs significantly from the one showcased at the event previously.

According to the initial video posted, it appears that some children have mysteriously disappeared amidst the darkness. The footage opens with a child exiting his house in an unusual manner, causing concern for his parents about his whereabouts.

As the teaser unfolds, a voice-over comments, “I see your determination, Mr. Graff, and I’m willing to engage in these discussions with you, for if it were my own child at stake, I would be seeking answers just as fiercely.” The camera then sweeps through the children’s room.

In the trailer, a different actor’s voice is heard saying, “The children exited the houses on their own. Nobody dragged them out, nobody made them leave.” Afterward, eerie visuals display as the kids run around in their nightwear.

Initially, the film was scheduled to premiere over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend; however, the production companies decided to move up its release date to August 2025 instead.

Regarding the creator, Zach Cregger, he characterized Weapons as “fascinating yet erratic, with a dash of absurdly crazy” during his talk at CinemaCon.

During the event’s teaser, viewers saw a group of concerned parents gathered at a PTA meeting, demanding explanations for their children’s mysterious disappearance. As Josh Brolin’s character shouts for information, Julia Garner wakes up in the dead of night and, wandering through the classroom, discovers eerie replicas of the kids seated at their desks.

Weapons is to be released in theaters on August 8.
