At Disney Springs, a vast shopping and dining area within Walt Disney World, there’s a unique tavern that Indiana Jones enthusiasts will adore – the Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. This themed lounge, reminiscent of a hangout for daring adventurers like Indiana Jones’ pilot friend, has recently undergone a Halloween makeover.
For the first time, the bar has been redecorated with a spooky theme in celebration of the season. This transformation also includes a special limited-time menu featuring frightfully delicious food and drinks. Among these offerings, we managed to sample everything during Disney’s Play ‘n’ Preview media event and found some standouts.
Here’s what we thought of all of them, including which ones we’d get again.
JOCK LINDSEY’S HALLOWEEN HANGAR BAR – FOOD
Alien Invader Sliders

Tender and crunchy Nashville-style fried chicken, layered with slices of melted provolone cheese, crisp dill pickles, a savory cheddar-chive biscuit, and plump queen olives.
At the bar’s Halloween-themed food selection, these oversized, appetizing chicken sliders, with their eye-catching appearance, truly steal the show. They’re not just visually appealing but also incredibly tasty! The fried chicken inside is crispy and flavorful, although it may not be as spicy as some people prefer, even the head chef himself admits this. The Alien Invaders Sliders are meant to appeal to a wide audience and they certainly will.
The cheddar-chive biscuits are truly delicious, and surprisingly light. However, they might not be quite robust enough to absorb all the grease from the fried chicken. Therefore, you may find yourself wanting to consume them promptly. Moreover, after tasting these delightful treats, you’ll likely want to order them again in the future.
Phantom Dumplings

Chicken and pork dumplings wrapped in rice paper and served with teriyaki dipping sauce
These ethereal dumplings offer more than just a tasty starter; they provide an immersive experience. Upon opening their glass case, which billows with wisps of smoke reminiscent of spirits emerging from a tomb, you’ll find it to be the most captivating theatrical aspect of the presentation.

The overly lengthy rice wrappers provide a captivating sight when they hang far below the dumplings, contributing to a ghostly illusion. However, they’re not intended for eating; they’re thick and sticky instead of tender. This makes them excellent for crafting an attractive meal, but not suitable for consumption. If you were to eat them, it would spoil a otherwise enjoyable and chewy bite.
(Note: You might want to remove all of the rice paper, but I didn’t mind wrapped around the top.)
Zombie Eye Bites

Traditional deviled egg filling, crispy fried chicken, and black olives
In my experience as a movie-goer dining at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar, I must confess I had my reservations about the dishes presented with an eerie resemblance to zombie eyes. It wasn’t their spooky appearance that threw me off – in fact, they fit right in with the bar’s theme. No, it was the deviled eggs disguised within that gave me pause. You see, I’m not typically a fan of these delicacies, but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying them here, as if they were a well-timed plot twist in a horror flick!
I ensured I had a backup, and the egg and fried chicken pair beautifully. On top, there’s a Harissa-mustard sauce that doesn’t hesitate to resemble blood, adding an intriguing visual appeal. This zesty sauce with a hint of spice is as bold as it is delicious, making the dish equally captivating to behold and savor.

The Zombie Eye Bites arrive in black boxes to enhance the overall eerie aesthetic, which is quite thoughtful. However, it’s not explicitly stated how one should consume these treats. Fork and knife, hand, or one big bite? The chef advises that if you can handle it, they suggest taking a single bite. Not everyone might be able to do so, as each piece is a substantial appetizer. I personally found one bite too much for my first try, opting instead for two bites in my second attempt, aligning with the chef’s recommendation. However, if you decide to pick them up, they can be quite messy, so make sure you have a napkin at hand.
Skull of the Dead

Mojo pork, cheddar, flour tortilla, and pickle pico de gallo
These modest, quirky mini quesadillas could fit seamlessly on an ordinary menu, excluding the intricate skull and syringe of the vibrant Harissa-mustard sauce they’re drizzled with. There’s nothing particularly unique about them, but they’re incredibly tasty. They’re simply a delicious, dependable, and easily sharable appetizer that’s taken to the next level by the exceptional “pickle de gallo” and the sauce.
Just…uh…be aware of one thing. There’s a small cap on the syringe you need to remove. Otherwise….

Cursed Mummy Sausages

Mini smoked sausages wrapped in puff pastry and served with pomegranate-mustard sauce
I wouldn’t advise the Cursed Mummy Sausages for Halloween treats, despite their tolerable flavors enhanced by the tasty pomegranate-mustard dip. However, they are quite dry, similar to an actual mummy, and lack depth in flavor. They could be suitable for picky eaters as they are just a straightforward puff pastry wrapping mild sausage.
Additionally, they make their grand entrance with flair. At Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar, the dishes are served in a coffin that emits an eerie scream when the lid is lifted, adding to the overall ambiance. However, while the presentation is entertaining, it doesn’t quite compensate for the quality of the food itself.

JOCK LINDSEY’S HALLOWEEN HANGAR BAR – DRINKS
Cauldron Cooler
As a enthusiast, I must say that among all the delightful beverages, my ultimate favorite is the captivating Interactive Cauldron Cooler, a masterpiece exclusively available on the spooktacular new menu at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar nestled within Disney Springs.

Hendrick’s Gin, Domaine de Canton Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup and Butterfly Pea Extract
As a film buff savoring an intriguing beverage, I found myself pouring a test tube’s worth of pure white liquid into a beaker, creating a dark purple drink that was initially translucent and rich. With a gentle stir, the drink transformed into a lighter, cloudier version of its former self. The alcohol content in this potion was far from lightweight, yet it managed to maintain an impressive balance, making each sip a tantalizing blend of tartness and zesty ginger flavors that left me utterly captivated.
Among the trio of cocktails listed, this one stood out as my preferred choice since I appreciate alcoholic drinks that maintain a strong alcohol flavor.
Scarab Beetle Essence

Relax on the beach with a refreshing cocktail made from Siesta Key Silver Rum, Malibu Coconut Rum, Bols Blue Curacao Liqueur, fresh Dole pineapple juice, and a splash of grenadine. Enjoy!
If you’re more into cocktails that have a popsicle-like taste, I’d suggest giving the enchanting Scarab Beetle Essence a try. It appears like a bomb pop and transforms into a mysterious dark-purple hue when blended. Among all the Halloween drinks, this is the one least reminiscent of Halloween. Although it’s not something I would personally reorder (it’s quite typical for a cocktail), it could be an excellent pick for those seeking a refreshing drink while relaxing on the bar’s porch.
The Spike Trap

A beverage made with Malibu Coconut Rum, Stolichnaya Vanilla vodka, coconut cream, and Sprite, served with a ghost-like marshmallow as a garnish.
To nobody’s astonishment at our gathering, The Spike Trap beverage is quite delightful. It has a stronger sweetness over alcohol content, yet it’s not excessively sugary. Contrary to its cloudy white look, it is much more invigorating and less thick in texture.
The issue with an otherwise excellent cocktail lies in its unique glass. It’s designed at an incline, which led several individuals at my table to spill it when they picked it up. To avoid this mishap, it would be advisable to take a large sip before lifting the glass.
Snake Egg Surprise (Non-alcoholic)

Simply Lemonade, lime juice, desert pear syrup, and green apple boba pearls
It appears that the most intriguing find on Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar menu could be the lone non-alcoholic option, which can be spiked with liquor if desired. The Snake Egg Surprise, visually appealing and kid-friendly, is a delight that both children and adults can share in the festivities.

For Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, this isn’t the first time they’re offering a seasonal makeover, but with such a thrilling haunted-themed menu, we can hardly imagine that this won’t be their final spooky escapade.
Mikey Walsh, a staff writer at TopMob, was the one who consumed the most food at Jock Lindsey’s table (as expected). You can keep up with him on Bluesky under the handle @burgermike. He’s also ranked among those assessing the Targaryen kings.
This version aims to simplify the sentence structure and make it more approachable for a wider audience, while still conveying the same information as the original.
