As a dedicated follower of Sara Ramírez’s journey, I must say that her resilience and authenticity continue to inspire me. Her courage to come out as non-binary and embrace her true identity is commendable, and it reflects her strength and integrity.
The legal dissolution of the marriage between Sara Ramírez and Ryan DeBolt is scheduled for December 16th, after a judge verifies their settlement agreement.
Based on reports from People, it appears that the two ex-partners reached an agreement without either of them providing spousal support to the other, as outlined in the court records.
In the blink of an eye, just over two months after June had come and gone, I found myself standing at a crossroads – a divorce filed by Ramírez, citing irreconcilable differences. We mutually agreed to adhere to our prenuptial arrangement in dividing our assets, while also terminating any alimony commitments.
The date they parted ways was noted down for January 2018. They had revealed their non-binary identity in the year 2020, and had been using ‘they/them’ pronouns privately well before announcing it publicly on social media.
Back in July 2021, Ramirez publicly announced on social media that they had parted ways with DeBolt. However, they expressed continued support for each other’s individual journeys. Additionally, they appreciated their followers for their discretion and understanding throughout this period.
2021 saw the former Grey’s Anatomy actor sharing on Instagram that he and his partner, Ryan, had parted ways. The post was later removed, as reported by Out Magazine. However, Ramirez reassured fans that despite their separation, they continue to care for each other deeply and are navigating their separate paths with love and support.
In August, Ramírez shared a touching Instagram post on their birthday with a nostalgic picture. They expressed their wish for a day when they would experience love and value that transcends gender identities and work accomplishments. The actor from And Just Like That… penned “May this person always feel and recognize that they are loved beyond the boundaries of their gender, and appreciated beyond their achievements.”
Sara Ramirez went on to say, “This tender, blooming grown-up might just reappear with their powerful mullet hairstyle.”
