In a recent gathering, the cast of “Nobody Wants This” assembled for the script reading session of season 2. Following the successful debut of its initial episodes, creator Erin Foster disclosed the commencement of a second season in October, which will further unfold the tale of Joanne and the charismatic Rabbi, Noah.
In an Instagram post, Foster showcased photos of her team, offering a peek at the ensemble in action. Her social media story featured Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, Justine Lupe, among others.
Alongside the picture, Foster also wrote, “Season 2 table read!! We Baby Baby.”
Before the second season was even officially confirmed, Bell, the actress portraying Joanne, expressed her readiness for whatever lies ahead for the show’s characters.
During her chat with Entertainment Tonight, the actress explained that the series delves into what genuine relationships in contemporary dating might resemble. Furthermore, she mentioned, “Given that people continue to be intricate and multifaceted beings, there’s always potential for another season.
Initially, the first eight episodes delve into the hurdles faced by the podcaster’s relationship with Noah, as both personal and external issues strive to weaken their connection.
As a lifestyle guide, I’d rephrase it like this: “In my narrative, a podcast host, who’s open-minded about spirituality but not relationships, and a freshly single rabbi find themselves entangled in an unexpected romance. They navigate their relationship challenges, stemming from their vastly different lifestyles, as well as the occasional interference from meddlesome family members.
The performance gained immense popularity because it presented an exceptional yet identifiable narrative, featured actors tackling unfamiliar characters, and boasted an engaging plotline.
The show hasn’t started filming yet, but it’s projected to premiere on digital platforms sometime between the end of 2025 and early 2026.
