WCW Pack for WWE 2K24 is live, still includes the Iron Sheik

As a seasoned gamer with memories etched deep into the annals of professional wrestling, I must say, the WWE 2K24 WCW DLC Pack has hit all the right chords! The return of the Iron Sheik, a man who was more than just a wrestler, but an icon of my childhood, is nothing short of electrifying.

Hooray for me! The iconic Diamond Dallas Page is leading the WWE 2K24 WCW Expansion Pack. Alongside DDP in this pack are “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, Lex Luger, the Great Muta, and the Iron Sheik. There was some worry among fans as Sheik has been absent from recent promotional efforts, such as the trailer unveiling on WWE Smackdown.

In the modern age of social media, The Iron Sheik successfully transformed his image from a classic ’80s villain. On an episode of Jerry Springer, he vividly recounted tales about the cocaine and steroid-fueled wrestling era of the 1980s, maintaining his character throughout. In the world of wrestling, The Iron Sheik was consistently popular, a term often used in the business to describe high audience appeal.

The Iron Sheik was more recognized for his WWE performances compared to his WCW stints, which could explain why he was showcased less in promotional materials. I don’t mind how we acquired the Iron Sheik; what matters is that we got him. It’s plausible that Hulkamania wouldn’t have emerged without the Iron Sheik as the villainous, anti-American opponent. If Hulkamania hadn’t arisen, professional wrestling might not have been broadcast before 3 a.m. on your local access channel.

In most instances when fresh DLC wrestlers debut, they’re incorporated into MyFACTION as well. These newcomers come equipped with 55 additional moves and taunts that can be utilized by custom wrestlers too. As an extra perk, we receive the arena for the iconic WCW pay-per-view event, Fall Brawl WarGames. Plus, there’s a fresh locker code, WARGAMES, offering a premium Singlet Supreme II pack, a free agent card of Liv Morgan Galaxy Opal, and 15,000 VC.

WCW lives again, friends!
