The first trailer for Scary Movie 6 is here, offering fans a sneak peek at the latest film in the hilarious horror series.
The first trailer for the new movie dropped this morning, revealing it will playfully poke fun at popular recent horror films. Expect spoofs of movies like “Sinners” and “The Substance,” continuing the series’ long-standing tradition of satirizing big horror releases.
The new movie will bring back several stars from the original films, including Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan, and Jon Abrahams. This will create a direct connection to the earlier movies that made the franchise so popular.
Marlon and Shawn collaborated with Keenen Ivory Wayans and Rick Alvarez – who’s also producing – to write the screenplay. Michael Tiddes is directing the film.

The show has added several new actors to its cast, including Olivia Rose Keegan, Savannah Lee Nassif, Cameron Scott Roberts, Sydney Park, Gregg Wayans, Ruby Snowber, and Benny Zielke. They’re expected to bring a new dynamic to the series.
Miramax produced the movie, with Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Loewy, and Thom Zadra as executive producers. Paramount Pictures will handle worldwide distribution, releasing it on June 12th as part of their agreement with Miramax.
Marlon Wayans discussed the film’s humor in a 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying it’s a daring movie that doesn’t shy away from any topic.
He explained that they’ve always approached things this way, prioritizing making people laugh. He added that they don’t worry about potentially offending anyone, believing that everyone, even those who are easily offended, should be able to laugh at themselves.
The trailer shows the filmmakers are continuing with the same successful formula as before. The new movie seems set to deliver the same kind of humor fans loved in previous installments. With the original creative team and a combination of familiar faces and new cast members, the next film hopes to be a major box office hit.
