The animated series titled “The Legend of Vox Machina” is inspired by the initial storyline from the online Dungeons & Dragons series, “Critical Role“. Originating from a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the first season consisted of twelve episodes, with the first ten being funded through this platform. The show debuted its first season in 2022, and its second season followed in 2023.

In this series, Laura Bailey plays the role of Vex’ahlia “Vex” Vessar, a half-elf ranger character. Bailey has previously earned fame for her voice acting in popular shows such as Dragon Ball Z and Fullmetal Alchemist. Joining her is Matthew Mercer, who portrays Trinket, Vex’s companion, in the show. Mercer is recognized for his work as the English dub voice actor of Levi Ackerman from the highly praised anime, Attack on Titan.

The animated series is being created by Amazon Studios, Titmouse, and a company named Metapigeon. Notably, animation studio Titmouse has also produced other shows such as “Scavengers Reign” and “The Boys Presents: Diabolical”. Interestingly, Metapigeon is a division of Critical Role Productions, a company largely managed by the creators of “Critical Role”. Excitingly, the third season of “The Legend of Vox Machina” will debut on Prime Video on October 3rd.
