Justin Baldoni might benefit from the current buzz surrounding the movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, due to recent disclosures about Nicepool. In simpler terms, this means that a user of X (a platform or community) made significant announcements about a version of Deadpool from another world, who doesn’t possess the power of regeneration. This is referred to as Nicepool.
In the film, the character’s hairstyle – a long, hippie-esque manbun – bears a striking resemblance to Justin Baldoni’s distinctive style, often associated with him as seen on his social media platform, The Spiritual Shift.
During an interview with Megyn Kelly on her SiriusXM show on January 7, 2025, attorney Brayn Freedman for Baldoni stated that he would sue Blake Lively and her husband to the point of no return. He also expressed his belief that the character Nicepool was based on Baldoni. If Reynolds’ wife experienced sexual harassment, Freedman argued, it wouldn’t be appropriate to make fun of Justin Baldoni.
According to the X account, the movie features a conversation implying Baldoni. In this film, there’s a scene where Nicepool discusses Ladypool (Lively), mentioning she had a baby but no one can tell. Deadpool responds, “I don’t think you should say that,” to which Nicepool replies that he is allowed to make such a comment since he identifies as a feminist.
For people who aren’t aware, Lively claimed that Badloni made comments about body shaming her following childbirth, yet also referred to her as “sexy.” According to X’s account, Badloni presents himself publicly as a proponent of women’s rights and activism.
Additionally, a comedic outtake reveals Nicepool expressing his intention to establish a podcast that capitalizes on feminist movements. This once more hints at Baldoni, given his reputation for hosting the podcast Man Enough, which delves into the responsibilities of men and the impact gender roles have had on everyone.
