During a conversation on the House of Halliwell podcast, Brian Austin Green reminisced about his short-lived romance with Shannen Doherty from the 90210 series. On this show, he paid tribute to Doherty’s memory and offered personal perspectives on their relationship.
As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t believe my luck when Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan, Brian Krause, Drew Fuller, and Dorian Gregory graced the set of our beloved show Charmed alongside the remarkable Shannen Doherty! The thrill was indescribable.
When Green joined the podcast, Combs introduced the subject of the Suite 7 actor dating the late actress Doherty. Combs stated that he only learned about Green dating Doherty quite recently.
The actress from Pretty Little Liars shared, “She held back telling me for some time. She was truthful, and I believe that’s the quality I admire most about her.
In the meantime, the actor chose not to discuss the topic. He made it clear he wouldn’t disclose any information about his relationship with Doherty to the cast of Charmed.
Initially, Combs complimented the actor, stating that he managed to maintain their friendship with the veteran actress despite their breakup. Later on, Green continued by saying, “I’m getting a good lesson,” and the Love’s Complicated star responded, “Shannen did mention you have an appealing backside.
Green and Doherty initially crossed paths while working together on the set of Beverly Hills 90210, where they played David Silver and Brenda Walsh. Despite their characters never dating on the series, in reality, they were not romantically involved with other cast members.
At one point, Doherty also spoke candidly about dating Austin Green. On a podcast episode, the actress revealed that while filming Charmed, she had kept her relationship with the actor a secret from everyone on set.
During their discussion in that episode, Green admitted that they had been advised to keep their distance, but as the actor explained, they chose to ignore the advice.
Shannen Doherty passed away in July 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer.
