Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about her past relationship with Brad Pitt in her latest biography. The pair dated for almost four years during the 90s and ended their engagement shortly after. In the book, author Amy Odell suggests that Pitt felt intimidated by Paltrow’s success during their time together.
In the filming location of Se7en, there was an instant connection between Paltrow and Fight Club’s lead actor. After dating for a few years, the actor proposed to the Ironman star, who happily agreed. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last, and Pitt later married Jennifer Aniston instead.
Was Brad Pitt insecure of his then-girlfriend’s power to grab attention?
In his account, Odell mentioned that Gwyneth Paltrow frequently tears up over Brad Pitt, and an unidentified source hinted that Pitt might have felt intimidated by her rising fame and the limelight she was receiving.
In the biography, it was disclosed that Aucoin bluntly told Paltrow, “It’s time for this to come to an end.
As a pair, they started dating, with Pitt already established in Hollywood, known for roles in films such as 12 Monkeys, Legends of the Fall, and Sleepers. Conversely, Paltrow’s fame burst onto the scene swiftly. She garnered success and recognition at an astonishing pace, rapidly ascending the ladder of popularity.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Back in 1997, when my relationship with Pitt ended, I found it challenging to move forward. When he later married Aniston, I must admit, it was hard not to feel a pang of sadness.
It’s said that she claimed to her friend that the actor has questionable preferences when it comes to choosing women. Moreover, she reportedly referred to her ex as being not very intelligent.
However, Pitt and Aniston filed for divorce within five years of marriage.
