It has been announced that the PC version of “Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4″ is set to release in 2026. Unlike its predecessors, this installment will not be developed by Relic Entertainment, who worked on the first three games in the series. Instead, development of Dawn of War 4 is being handled by King Art Games, a German studio known for Iron Harvest, and will be published by Deep Silver.
In “Dawn of War 4”, four distinct factions – Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Orks, and Necrons – are playable. The game’s narrative includes over 70 missions in total, all set on Kronus, the same location as “Dawn of War: Dark Crusade”. Renowned Black Library author John French is responsible for penning the story, which unfolds approximately 200 years after the original game’s expansion’s events.
The upcoming Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game is planned to have a more conventional feel compared to the generally disliked Dawn of War 3, with features like base construction reappearing. With approximately ten commanders, around 110 units and structures, a level editor, and an army customizer, Dawn of War 4 appears brimming with potential opportunities.
The multiplayer feature comes included, offering not only the classic skirmish and cooperative game modes but also the cherished Last Stand mode, which originated in Dawn of War 2.
