Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s first DLC will add the Arbites class

Players of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide can anticipate embarking on missions from June 23, 2025, across all platforms that carry the game. The game’s initial expansion will introduce a new character class – the Arbites, allowing players to mete out imperial justice with even greater righteousness than previously.

Each Arbitrator is accompanied by a cybernetic guard dog, or cyber-mastiff, which follows the player and can be dispatched to neutralize critical targets, or kept nearby for protection. These canines are exceptionally efficient at providing cover fire and managing crowds. For instance, they can set up a vox platform that broadcasts imperial propaganda, weakening the resolve of their opponents.

Members of the Adeptus Arbites are equipped with Arbites Shotguns loaded with special rounds and can use Assault Shields along with Arbites Shotpistols for both defensive capabilities and close-range firepower. When necessary, they can resort to using the Dominator Maul as a means of enforcing their authority.

Users have the freedom to tailor their Arbitrator character, as well as their cybernetic dog companion, by choosing from a variety of options. They can opt for one of the three prepared skill sets (talent trees) or create a unique combination by selecting abilities from more than 80 talent nodes.

Alongside the premium content, Fatshark plans to release a complimentary update enriching both the onboarding and storytelling aspects. This update will also revamp the challenge progression, making it so that harder difficulty levels are not just gated by player levels, but also by a sequence of missions designed to test the user’s abilities.

Verminous Dreams Saga concludes in Vermintide 2

In the wrap-up of the extended Verminous Dreams storyline, Darktide’s sequel, Vermintide 2, delivers. This ongoing narrative has provided complimentary updates for players throughout its run.

As the final act unfolds, I find myself delving into a maze of Skaven-overrun underground passageways beneath the city of Athel Lithri. My mission: to thwart their malicious plan to explode a warp bomb within the Well of Dreams, and save the realm from impending doom.

Every year as customary, the Skulls event resurfaces once more to honor Warhammer Skulls, providing players a chance to earn some stylish in-game prizes.
