Walker Scobell Teases Epic Episode 4 of ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 2: “It’s Its Own Movie”!

I, Walker Scobell, was thrilled to receive the Rising Star Award at TVfest for my role as Percy Jackson. In a recent interview, I couldn’t help but share my enthusiasm about a significant event in Season 2. I even hinted that viewers should brace themselves for an exhilarating episode filled with non-stop action that they won’t want to miss!

Scobell has shared that Episode 4 will showcase a thrilling confrontation involving Charybdis and Scylla, ancient monsters from Greek folklore. You may recognize these fearsome creatures from Homer’s epic The Odyssey, where they caused chaos for sailors attempting to traverse treacherous seas. The presence of these emblematic beings hints that the second season of ‘Percy Jackson’ will escalate the drama with pulse-pounding action scenes and awe-inspiring visual effects.

In episode four, we ventured into an unforgettable journey involving Charybdis and Scylla. I’d hate to give anything away, but this episode was monumental – so much so that it felt like a standalone movie! This was the first time we gathered for a table read without prior knowledge, and they encouraged us to live the experience alongside them, for the first time too.

Additionally, Scobell disclosed an extraordinary incident that occurred during the preparation process of Episode 4. In contrast to other episodes where actors usually get their scripts ahead of time, the producers opted to maintain this episode as a secret until the table reading.

Since Scobell has labeled Episode 4 as a standalone film-like episode, the anticipation for Season 2 of the show has soared to unprecedented heights. The initial season garnered rave reviews for its accurate portrayal of Rick Riordan’s cherished book series, and it seems that Season 2 is poised to further enhance this successful foundation.

Including Charybdis and Scylla in this upcoming episode suggests that the show will faithfully adapt ‘The Sea of Monsters,’ the second book in the series. In this novel, Percy and his companions navigate treacherous waters filled with fearsome mythical beasts. This episode might highlight one of the book’s most memorable scenes, deepening viewers’ connection to the realm of Greek mythology.

As filming continues, fans are thrilled for additional news about the second season of Percy Jackson. If Scobell’s enthusiasm serves as an indicator, Episode 4 is taking shape to be a standout episode of the season – one that might reshape expectations for what teenage fantasy television can offer.
