Vivek Ramaswamy, the man who thought he could lead D.O.G.E. like a boss, has decided to hang up his cape and head to Ohio. Guess he found out the government is a bit more complicated than a tweet storm!
Just when we thought Ramaswamy was going to be the new messiah of efficiency, he’s stepping down as co-leader of the Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.). Why, you ask? Well, because he’s got bigger fish to fry—like running for governor of Ohio. 🏛️💼
Ramaswamy Throws in the Towel for D.O.G.E.
Appointed alongside Elon Musk, Ramaswamy was all set to be the savior of government. But alas, his plan to save the day was cut short by his sudden interest in Ohio politics. “It was my honor to help support the creation of DOGE. I’m confident that Elon & team will succeed in streamlining government. I’ll have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio,” he said, with a wink and a nod. 😏
“A familiar source confirms to me that Ramaswamy is no longer part of D.O.G.E. because he is announcing his run for governor of Ohio early next week. ‘It became clear he couldn’t campaign and lead DOGE at the same time,’ Popielarz said,” Taylor Popielarz, our favorite national political reporter, revealed.
But wait, there’s more! It turns out Ramaswamy’s departure wasn’t exactly voluntary. Musk, ever the boss, had grown tired of Ramaswamy’s antics, especially after his infamous tweet about American work culture. “Everyone wanted him out. They wanted him out before the tweet — but kicked him to the curb when that came out,” a Republican strategist close to Trump told Politico. 🙄
While Ramaswamy was making his exit, Trump and Musk were busy making grand plans for D.O.G.E. Trump mentioned it in his inaugural speech, and Musk, ever the visionary, quipped, “We are going to take DOGE to Mars.” Of course, all this talk about Mars and efficiency sent Dogecoin prices soaring… until Ramaswamy’s departure was announced. Then, BAM! Down 7% in a heartbeat. 🚀💔
But hey, who needs efficiency when you can have lawsuits? Consumer advocate groups Public Citizen and the National Security Counselors filed their complaints against D.O.G.E. minutes after Trump took office. They argued that the initiative was a violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, allowing private individuals like Musk to make government decisions without transparency or oversight. 🛡️🚨
