David Boies, representing Virginia Guiffre, has publicly challenged Prince Andrew and requested an apology. The call follows Guiffre’s passing at 41 years old, having faced ongoing health challenges and a background of sexual abuse incidents.
Following the sad suicide of a woman who publicly accused Prince Andrew of sexual misconduct, her former attorney now encourages Duke of York to make a public apology, acknowledging any part he may have played in her lasting emotional distress.
On April 28th, renowned attorney Alan Dershowitz, who represented Virginia Giuffre in her lawsuit against the British royal, spoke with Piers Morgan. During this interview, he urged Prince Andrew to take responsibility for the actions he’s accused of committing. Dershowitz clarified that while justice was always more important to Giuffre than retribution, an apology from the Prince would still hold significant weight if offered.
As a lifestyle advisor, I firmly believe that owning up to one’s actions is crucial for growth and redemption. Much like Virginia, I value addressing the root of the issue rather than merely focusing on the wrongdoer. In my opinion, Prince Andrew could benefit greatly from taking accountability for his actions, as this acknowledgment might have been acceptable to Virginia, who understood the importance of recognizing one’s mistakes. It is never too late for change, and I believe that it is always possible to make amends.
Boies expressed a desire for him to admit his mistake directly, stating: “I wish he would say, ‘I’m sorry.’ He should be more straightforward about this… Even if he doesn’t recall that it was Virginia, the incident itself is something he can’t deny. It’s time for him to own up to it.
In his recent talks, Boies expressed that Giuffre’s courage exposed Jeffrey Epstein’s network of sexual exploitation and forced powerful individuals to account for their misdeeds. He acknowledged that she not only endured the traumas of her past but also faced continual verbal abuse and character defamation in the time following her revelations. However, Boies admired her tenacity and believed she deserved credit for putting a stop to Epstein’s cycle of abuse.
41-year-old Virginia Giuffre, who tragically passed away on April 24 as reported by her family, had initiated a lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2021, which was eventually resolved outside of court. However, the disgraced British royal has consistently denied all allegations brought forth by his purported victim.
